They designed the game to be a cluster ****
and the Metro 64 player RPG / M320 fest is what they want the game to be. Hence close quarters....
As somebody on the EA forums says, it will be a miracle if he doesnt butcher the armoured kill maps into his own arrogant version of what he thinks battlefield maps should be.
Yes, console port was a quick choice of words. Bf3 is a cash cow from ea, try and milk as much money as possible. But tyey will always be dissapointed. Come the next cod game, (ie reskin of last years) cod will still sell more.
Jo was fantastic, epic chopper flyimg, 150 players in a round, great stuffI miss that game. 150 player servers. Maps that make BF3s look like CoD's shipment. Genuinely fun. Did you ever play that map with like 20 cap points, each one on it's own big island, each island pretty far apart? went on for days?
The really worrying thing there to me is that if he isn't giving console players the choice in larger conquest maps because it wouldn't be how they designed the game, then they gave us 64 player metro... intentional design yo
Never played 1942, my fave ever in bf was scouty's sniper mod for bf2. 2000 yard kills with .50 sniper rifles, joint ops looked dire, but the tactics you could utilise were great, roadside satchel charges. Or my favourite, swimming out to sea and waiting for amphibious vehicles with satchel charges.
I never really got into joint ops
I was too busy playing Desert Combat for BF1942. Now THAT! was a battlefield game.

My first love and proper a battlefield game. I was a tester on this game and made a map or two for it with friends, such a brilliant game, Bf3 doesnt have 1% of the replay value skill level or the fun DC Had.
Lost Village day 2 with myself on the blackhwak gun chasing down bad guys

Yep, there's a lot more to using hacks than just gunning with an aimbot. I wish people would wake up to this.

Won't be. B2K was only any good as they got to copy stuff from a much better game, and even then they managed to screw things up.

I can see why ppl are against the premium thing. I am of 2 minds, but the problem is that I load up BF3 so much, that I may as well go ahead and get it - if only for the new maps.
I'm on a break from gaming until the DLC. Would have to agree with you, love this game. The hit reg is not the same as COD/CS or whatever but then again it's a totally different game so I'm fine with that. I'm not sure why people compare them at all...
