That was blindingly obvious since it became apparent there was a C-130. It was never going to be pilot-able, this is Modern DICE/EA here.

lol you mean ' this herp derp battlefield ' it's no different from COD and kill streak perks to bag an attack chopper, sit down and enjoy the CPU ride. Auto piloted on PC, wow. Game gets dumber with every DLC.

Some how i think you will ;)

Will never see a premium tag on my account, EA can whistle.

the game does seem smoother since patch

noticed a few more people in different glitches though .

premium is no for me will probably get close quarters when out then off to csgo which is for me already better than bf3 and is only a beta.

WTH you going on about, why do I need premium to access the DLC? oh that's right I don't.

Well... if you want to pay the rip-off merchants more money than the cost of premium... that's your perogative

4x map packs = £48
premium = £40

... seems like a simple choice for me, even if it is only £8

Nope, I will pay for stuff that I have checked out first and not blindly throw cash at EA for potential ****. QC is off the list so that leaves three DLC the latter of which is not due to march 2013, so £6 loss if I buy three DLC, am I bothered?

EA give DLC away for free? what you been smoking?

true.

stock game has the worst maps Ive ever played.

where as the DLC maps have a lot more character, if u get me.

u think release maps are designed to be poor to make people buy DLC?

seems the same applies to COD if you ask me.

mw3 maps are jaw droopingly bad.

I hated the size of maps in the old games... Took forever to get anywhere and do anything... Then you'd get killed when you got from one side of the map to the other and have to do it all over again.

It's not that I have a short attention span... I just don't have that much free time now that I have a job. I don't want to spend it all in the void of a huge map!

BF3 is the best of the series IMO (perhaps with the exception of 1942).

I really dislike this new scheme of... Let's limit what we put in the original release to let the rest of the game out in to the wild in small, billable, portions... But it's the way the darn market is going lately... Can't exactly protest... Just have to suck it up.

I'm one of the apparent few who actually likes getting stuck in the middle of a noob tube battle in metro (along with most of the other maps, too) or a snipe fest (as long as its not rush/conquest)... It's frustrating, it really is... But it's involving, with a lot of action in relatively small spaces, I think I'm gonna like this close quarters expansion.

I even cheated with my first account to try and get the unlocks quicker (not to be a *****, I just hated the amount of time it was taking). This time I paid EA for the expensive stick in the bum... I'm sorry I mean paying for what I've already paid for... Oh no, partial unlocks for all classes and vehicles... Only to get sweet FA from the newest unlock map pack, have to earn it all again... Yey

Well at least they've done one thing to me... I'm not gonna cheat again on this new account... I've spent £25 for the game, £12 for the first map pack, £25 for use of the weapons I already bought and now £40 for the remaining map packs... £102, most expensive game - ever!

I am the evil that drives these price-a-thons :-(

BF2 had scalable maps for 16, 32, 64.

way to cater to people like yourself and me (i like proper 64 man maps) its to allow 32,64 players on the 16 player designed maps.

both parties are happy.

what i dont like is forcing 64 man servers into a small tunnel to play conquest that plays the same as rush.

Fair enough... There should be the option

Yep in total between expansion pack and booster packs there were 14maps at a cost of £32

Exactly

Hands up who bought Euro Forces ? or Armoured Fury ? or Special Forces ?

I bought all 3 of them. This is no different basically. Look at the list of things they gave you. New vehicles ? check, new weapons ? check, New maps ? check. Its just the same, only difference is now we don't need to head to game and buy a box that we stick on a shelf for the next 10 years :D (bonus points to anybody that still has their boxes lol)

I've bought premium for the Xbox which is 4000 Ms points. Got 2 x 2100 MS points (so 4200 points total) for £30. Job done. Next 4 map packs for £7.50 each. Considering Euro forces etc.. were £15 each it looks cheap ! and i get some neat new weapon / player camos, some exclusive dog tags etc.. etc..

So, if I buy Premium, I will be basically be buying the map pack, that I already bought before, with no discount and will receive all future DLC and some ****** exclusive content that isn't really worth it?

Awesome:rolleyes:

Well no.

Each map pack will be £12.

You're getting an additional 4 map packs to the one you already have for £40. The packs on their own would be £48, and then you get the exclusive premium stuff, which you wouldn't otherwise pay for, but when you're getting them thrown in for less than the cost of the 4 map packs, doesn't seem that bad. Its no different to the Season Pass thats out there for Forza or Gears of War.

I'm desperately hoping thats not the case.

But then again, considering how much else of COD's other stuff they have copied, it wouldn't be a surprise.

Weapon Camos ? Check
"Gun Game" game mode ? check
Early access for premium / elite members ? check
saving battle reports (videos on elite) ? check
Premium / elite only events ? check
Exclusive strategy guides and videos ? check

Practically everything in BF3 premium is just copy and paste from COD elite. So much so i thought that leaked fact sheet was a hoax.

Don't get me wrong, i'll enjoy the weapon camos, the early access etc.. but its really quite shocking just how much of this is copy and paste from COD.

The premium don't seem too bad,You save and gain extra stuff...but that "Server queue priority"..i think that's an unfair advantage for those that have premium.

There was no mention of this premium when we bought the game,I don't think its fair they put normal members (non premium) to the back of the game que when we have already bought the game.

Im not sure il be buying premium myself,Ive already become kinda bored of BF3s multi-player,By the time the 3rd dlc comes out il most likely have moved onto something else anyway.

You and me both but chances are slim to none in my opinion.

Observations from tonight.

Shotgun slugs are now wildly more inaccurate at range and as good as useless even at short to medium range, they just seem highly ineffective.
Deployable gadgets are over-poweredly tough. Took over 10 hits from a G3A3 to kill a Soflam.
Noticed next to no difference in suppression.
