what's with all this David Guetta rubish with a lot of the latest songs. When on the radio or online there now introduced as:
"David Guetta - Without you ft Usher"
"David Guetta - Titanium ft Sia"

and so on....

seems he's getting more credit than the actually singers on all the tracks.

He sold out to the cheesy dance scene big time, how on earth he won best DJ beggers belief,This man should just go away from the rock he came from:mad:

Have to say I love the last songs he does featuring xyz
Nicki minaj
Sia
Chris Brown

But then I do love nicki minaj lol

It's because they're 'his' songs and the singers are just a feature even though that doesn't make sense as they sing the full lyrics :o

Anyway... I like Guetta's older stuff but he is too commercial now. I seen him live a few years ago and he couldn't mix for his life... awful! In my mind, he's a producer and not a DJ.

I like him so he must be doing cheesy commercial stuff to make money now. Imagine that selling out for a wad of cash how dare he! :D

Alphabeat and Glasgow are great....

I get that it is his song , but its the sudden change recent;y of how were acknowledging people like this i.e. not the singers but the writers.

its gone the same with Mark Ronson. Before Winehouse died it used to be "here's Amy Winehouse with Vallery" now its always "here's Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse with Vallery"

Being famous gets you cash simple really.

People have made small fortunes out of doing nothing Kerry Katona for one. I can imagine this is a cash in. However for Guetta he does have disk 2 of his album with just music on it...

I know what you mean, there are songs out there that have something like: 'Rihanna feat. David Guetta' even though David Guetta doesn't sing, he's done the music. Suppose if David Guetta owns the song, then he can have it displayed whatever way he wants :)

He's a **** imo, yeah he can produce music but he's just another sell out and he could DJ/mix to save his life, I'm sure people have seen the video of him play at a gig pretending to mix when there's only 1 or the 2 cdj's actually turn on? lol and to think get gets paid thousand to stand the waving his hands about a bit while a pre-recorded mix is playing.. :(

I don't see what's classed as a sell out? Fair enough, he is more commercial these days but he wouldn't be as famous as he is now or make as much if he didn't 'sell out' - I know what I would do if I were in his situation.

Yes, what you said is 100% as I previously mentioned also - He can't mix to save his life. I seen him at Belsonic a few years ago and my goldfish could mix better.

I always love the complaint "Yea so and so is a sell out! Gone commercial!". Weird how they make more money by doing so, almost like they are MORE popular.

If music is subjective then surely they only way to measure how "good" someone is would be by their popularity no?

David guetta is only popular ecause he gets whoever Universal think are "in" and tags them in on a chorus. It's funny that the material he had from 2002-2009 isn't considered a commercial success. Mainly because it sucked.

He is famous because the dance sound is taking off in pop music at the moment. Early 2000's pop went hip hoppy. Then it went rocky. Then it went indie, then it went dubsteppy.

You have got it all wrong man, people who are into the dance scene do it for the love of the music first.any real DJ will tell you this, would i sell out to make commercial music no i would not because my roots are deeply involved the underground scene and allways will be.
Being a DJ nowdays is like the old i want to be rock star,so many idiots jumping on the bandwagon it's unreal for the simple reason they want to be famous for all the wrong reasons and the music suffers with the tripe that i call commercial dance, and people tend to think that this is real club music which is certainly is not.

^^ What Spook said, I never like Guetta's music from the beginning, but if you ask him he probably will still tell you he is doing it for the love of music or the fans which is bs. The fact that it would prob cost 10k+ for him to play an event while he just stands there, jumps up and down a bit and waves to the crowd is an insult to actual DJ's, who some of them may only get a few hundred quid for a set on a night, but they will give it everything they have. Like other money/greed got the better of them it seeps and they've used this the best way they possibly can. Tiesto more or less done the same thing in recent years too.
