Indian Tech support call back!

So i got another Indian tech support telling me i have a virus again. As per usual i try to waste their time as much possible pretending i have a MAC. when they are trying to tell me to click the start button, then saying i dont know what OS it is ect ect you know the drill.

Anyway i dragged it for 10 minutes then the women said "oh you have a mac. Sir there is no virus for mac so you are ok"

This has NEVER happened before (they usualy just carry on regardless) i said why did you ring me then and she said it was a check in call lol.

Anyway after that i told here where to go and how much of a **** person she is for attempting to rob people.

I put the phone down in the knowledge that i at least wasted her (and mine) time but she than rang me back to shout abuse at me and calling me an idiot for no knowing what an operating system was.

All the time - best just to hang up when they ring.

I got bored very quickly in wasting my time with them and these only a limited number of swears you can throw at them without repeating yourself.

Did you point out that she was wrong on the Mac virus point too?

Pretty funny that she called you back though, wouldn't have expected that and it's pretty off track for them to do that when they normally just read off cue cards.

Why don't I ever get these tech support calls? I get people ringing me every other week selling PPI loan thingys (the new craze at the moment) but I've never had that tech support call from 'Windows'. No fair!
 
The last one that called I pretended to give them my card details randomly, but kept coughing over a few of the numbers - she was getting really irate with me - but it was amusing for a while.
 
the best advice is to say "i know this is a scam" and hang up..

this is big business, if you make it clear to the operator you know its a scam they **may*** cross your name off the list...

if you are rude or go along with it for a bit they will mark you as a prospect so you will keep getting calls...

I spoke to guy who had told them them where to go. Apparently, they now call him everyday or so giving him abuse. Best way is to play stupid.

The same happened to me. I lead them on for about 10 minutes, but the only reason I was at home was because I was off work with man flu, and ended up getting bored, so I just told him I knew he was a scamming **** and told him in no uncertain terms where to go and how he should do it. Sure enough he rang me straight back to hurl abuse at me, to which he received even more in return.
 
I always ask them to repeat themselves, saying its a bad line or their English is bad. They get really angry and hang up.
