I'm finding loads of ppl farming ACT I - just before killing skelly king. i think the mission is search for the crown.

When you kill the butchers wife in the cellar.

Being doing 1 hour of it and got 150k, Teleport to Cathedral Ruins get loot and ramdom chests, then TP to old ruins get loads of loot with random cellars, sometimes theres a goblin and chests and elites.

then go back to new tristam and kill butchers wife, and get loads more loot.

But im guessing they will nerf this soon, if not already.

but as you say will be nerfed, as with everything else people come up with :)

Hopefully my internet will be back up tomorrow so i can play. I'm so annoyed though, i've essentially missed over a week of gameplay which leaves me lagging behind. I wasn't far off starting Inferno with the rest of you lot, now i'm miles behind with **** gear and eff all money. :(
 
Like the look of the patch notes, though the repair costs gonna stop my DH trying to get any further in act 2 inferno for the time being. If you can get a chance of top quality rares in act 1 though i'm fine with that
 
This new Patch is ridiculous....

So they're nerfing Attack Speed, which actually works quite nicely.

The fact that I can walk through Act 1 without even thinking, and can pretty much walk through Act 2 99% of the time means I'll probably be able to destroy Diablo come the next patch....

Plus the nerf of NV is really annoying...

I do quite like the drop rate changes, but that's pretty much it....

So, all in all, with this update, I think it's a pile of ****...

Er... they didn't nerf NV. They'll make it 1 rare less effective for bosses and 1 rare more effective for champs. Kill more champs, simple as.

And they haven't decided what they're doing with IAS yet. They're thinking of diminishing returns but don't want hidden modifiers.

I think it seems great.

Yes. How fantastic. They finally made a game that actually put up a challenge (admittedly not skill based, but still Act 3/4 was a challenge), and now they want to nerf it....

Anyway, it's hardly surprising considering how many people complain that Act III/IV is impossible.

Anyway, I can't be bothered to have the discussion... So....

As a side point, all those rares and the only 'interesting' drop I got today was a Recipe for some Exalted Shoulders...

Where are these changes documented? I just took a look around and saw no mention of any changes to NV or Attack Speed? Just a few Auction house changes and tweaks to the Barbarian?

I do not understand the increased repair costs, it's fine as it is since making gold in this seems about right compared to some other mmorpgs i've played and the amount dropped is about right too.

The attack speed nerf bit silly aswell...should have just put a 100% cap on it or something.
 
I love my DH, but I find it hard to find a build where I can leave Smoke Screen out.

I personally don't get the value of these skills that last only one second. I tried using SS and by the time I realised it was active it had finished. how do ppl use it with only a second duration?

one qualification however that I am only in Nightmare III with my DH so I accept I don't know yet what is to come, but I'd like to understand.
 
Hmmmm not liking the increased cost of repairs. Although it depends how they change other things. If they make incoming damage less peaky, fix the lag that seems to occur every time I find an elite and scale the damage on multiplayer down I think I'll be happy enough. At the moment I seem to die probably 2-3 times per elite mob. Yes I'm zerging, but I'm a Barbarian - it's not like I can kite them whilst invulnerable with a Hydra killing everything for me -.-

The attack speed thing is an interesting one. It is something that can stack madly, my first thought was diminishing returns (like in Eve Online) but that'd be frustrating in Diablo, would be a pain in the rear to keep track of over multiple items.

The NV thing seems more of a Buff than a Nerf? One less guaranteed rare from a Boss, in exchange for guaranteed rares from Elites? You are no doubt fighting atleast 5 elite mobs before a boss so its a massive win-win situation?
