What film did you watch last night?

Iron Sky.

Not bad, the girl is gorgeous.

Indeed, watched it last night as the missus was away at her mums for the night. Was hoping that she would get her kit off but alas wasnt to be:p

Movie was absolute rubbish though, saving grace was the girl in all honesty.

Watched Act of Valor - turned out to be a half decent action movie, probably wouldnt watch it again though.

Its so cheesy it could be a recruitment video for the Navy Seals and it rams the whole terrorists bad, america good mantra down your throat with such brutality you'll find yourself choking on it.

That said the action scenes were convincing, and sometimes had a very Call of Duty feel to them.

If you've got 90 minutes to spare with nothing else on the agenda I'd suggest giving this a go.

Prometheus 9/10

Went to watch this movie with open mind and didn't have any expectation of being an Alien prequel but came out blown away.

I'm not too sure if the 3D stuff was necessary as most of the movie was flat and had only few shots that popped.

Prometheus 9/10 also.

Superbly filmed and acted, SFX were brilliant. I tried to go into it without any idea of what to expect and I think it helped. But if only there was a portion of the film that had an Alien aspect it would have been a 10/10 for me.

My wife however did like it but was really let down as she expected it to be an Alien film.

Its a prequel thats meant to explain how the Alien came to be, and if im not mistaken, at the end it pops out of the big blue guy :p

Beneath Hill 60

For such a small budget film they achieved quite a lot, the sets were believable just a shame there was a bit to much Hollywood bravado. Which unfortunately takes it away a little from these unsung hero's.
That aside it was a really good film!!

Goal! - Saw this was on before the first of the Euro2012 matches yesterday on BBC 2.

Mexican guy playing 'soccer' in LA (illegal immigrant) is spotted by former Newcastle Scout and promises him if he can get to the UK he'll get a trial at Newcastle. Father disapproves, steals some of his cash to put back into their handyman business, grandmother lends him the money. Has a trial, fails, helps out one of the first team players, gets a second chance, falls in love with the club nurse (Anna Friel), makes the reserves, makes the first team, scores the winner in the final match of the season against Liverpool to take them Europe.

Predictable, utter ****.

1/10

Truth in 24 ii Every Second Counts

The Le Mans 24 Hours are a legend. They are mentioned in the same breath as the Rallye Monte Carlo, the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500. Since 1923, hundreds of thousands of motorsport enthusiasts have been flocking to La Sarthe year by year to experience the one-day race. To watch the protagonists in their sports cars battle for each place and each meter of tarmac with bated breath. The drivers cover 4,800 kilometers in 24 hours – almost as many as the Formula One racers in a whole year. Every Le Mans winner has gone down in history. The three Audi drivers André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler did so in a special way with the triumph they achieved in 2011.

The film “Truth in 24 II” documents the tenth and arguably most emotional triumph of the brand with the four rings at this sports car classic. After two Audi R18 TDI cars have retired following spectacular accidents, the remaining Audi fights a dramatic battle for overall victory with the three Peugeot 908 cars – which the Audi trio ultimately decides in its favor with a narrow margin of 13 seconds. The film captures the entire drama of the fourth-narrowest running of the Le Mans 24 Hours – with intimate insights into the team of Audi Sport and breath-taking pictures.

Fantastic docu movie thing. If you like Motorsport it's a great watch.

Chronicle

Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.

6.5/10
It wasn't good enough for 7, but 6felt harsh. It's a typical if you had super power movie. With a predictable outcome. None the less a decent watch. But not worth paying for, wait till tv release.

ET. Not seen it since childhood. It's absolutely spectacular. It really doesn't put a foot wrong. The score is brilliant. Also, Drew Barrymore is amazing, given her age.

21 Jump Street - 7/10
Solid comedy, good to watch, couple of laugh out loud moments and plenty of smirk material.

The girl with the dragon tattoo (Hollywood version) again, 10/10 amazing film imo.

Did you not find it boring when we were watching Daniel Craig reading documents on his computer?

I thought that at least 1 hour (Daniel Craig's scenes), could've been cut from the movie.

The Daniel Craig scenes (of him looking at his computer), were a borefest.

While the girl was on-screen, the movie was fast paced and exciting.

ET.

Classic. Haven't seen it for a LONG time, never noticed what a **** mum Elliot's mum is, leaving them at home by themselves, letting them go off trick or treating on their own after dark... Maybe I'm overthinking this :D

9.5/10.
