Red Bull intake...

Having one now :) the only one of the weekend though ! folks that are having 3-4 a day, can you go without taking them at all anymore???

Used to drink couple of cans of red bull or other energy drink every week before footy, but have since grown an intolerance to caffeine. if i have caffeine now i get anxiety/panic attacks, never happened before, since been off caffeine no more problems.

Goes to show it cannot be any good for you, but then again nothing seems to be these days.

I have one most weekday mornings with my banana at work. Wake me up, i don't like coffee etc and i like the taste :)

EDIT: should add that i only drink the sugar free one, the regular one has a horrible after taste.

I drink Emerge which is one of the cheaper makes of energy drink, but i much prefer the taste of it, plus at Costco its like £4 for a crate of 24, generally just have a can every now and then but have it because i like the taste of it, not for an energy boost because unless i have about 5, they dont really do anything

Don't think are any worse / better than most other high sugar soft drinks.

I don't touch any caffeine based sugary pops or the standard soft drinks laden with sugar - so can't really comment.

I do however have an old friend who used to drink 2 liters of normal Coke a day - then switched to 2/3 cans of red bull - and a couple of cans of Coke. Surfice to say within the space of 4-5 weeks he had to go to the doctors and was actually prescribed anti-depressants to calm his nerves. He suffered terrible withdrawal symptoms/panic attacks/paranoia etc and really wasn't the same person ever again (although his doctor said it was just something that happened to him and was in no way because of his rubbish soft drink intake.... even though it started about 4 days after he started to cut down)

Seeing as he went from a quarter of a kilo of sugar a day ( approx contents of 2l Coke bottle) - to virtually zero - I think I'm just going to have to disagree with the Doc.

I've had 2 cans so far this year, I love the taste but I tend to stay away from caffiene.

I get my daily dose of caffiene from training stuff, which isn't all that much either.

Zero Redbull intake. Strong & fresh black coffee with a sprinkle of ????? gives me a far more intense and longer lasting buzz!

When I used to drink this type of thing I wouldn't get redbull as it was too expensive for that little can.

Used to drink Monster and Relentless but I now just drink coffee.

Around 5-10 Monsters a week. It's just too good. My diet is relatively healthy otherwise, little meat and lots of vegetables, fruits and other nutritious foods (nuts, pulses, beans, etc).

Probably going to have a heart attack before 30. :P

I tasted a Bull for the first time about 2 years ago, ugh never again. These "energy" drinks are trash TBH. Really clever marketing though - & students have fallen right into the marketing elephant-trap. I got friends who live on the stuff, buy it by the crateload.

On the other hand theres loads of people who dont touch the stuff and do just fine. I agree - if you eat right, sleep right and drink sensible water intake you dont need to throw you hard-earned money at those stupid cans. Your kidneys will thank you. Heck your body will thank you.

I don't really like the taste and will only drink it when I genuinely need a stimulant (i.e. late night combined with early morning). In the morning I'd have coffee if possible instead.
