Red Bull intake...

I have one most weekday mornings with my banana at work. Wake me up, i don't like coffee etc and i like the taste :)

EDIT: should add that i only drink the sugar free one, the regular one has a horrible after taste.

Same for me.

Was at a house party lastnight and i bought 24 cans of redbull, split with my mate, all 24 gone within about 2hours mixed with vodka, not good!

Ill also drink it most night when working until midnight.

My mate recently went to hospital as he was getting irregular heartbeats and the doctors said they think it may have been down to drinking energy drinks - some peoples hearts just can't take it - the doctor said he is surprised they are still legal

Maybe 1 every 2 months or so. I reserve it for a night shift when im really struggling. I find it works really well, too well when I get home I struggle to sleep on it.

some people can tolerate it, others cant.

my gf for example is ill for weeks is she just smells it!!

me personally i love it, dont drink it often, on nights out...

i prefer Monster anyway :P

indeed, my dad doesn't drink anything with caffeine in it. No coffee, tea, Energy drink. Anything atall!!

1 shift a few weeks back he had a redbull because he was struggling through the night. Within the next hour, he was white as a ghost, with sweats and ended up going home early sick.

From zero caffeine to an energy drink... Not a good plan I suppose

Only when I'm driving all the way to Germany in one go. Normally I drink coffee on long UK journeys but they are usually more relaxed and I can stop for a leak too.
Germany road trips are usually a bit more frantic and everyone "just wants to get there" so I stock up on a few cans for the latter part of that drive (usually after Belgium I start to flag)

Only when driving late at night, and the alternative is falling asleep. Horrible tasting stuff, but it certainly wakes you up.

But it's mainly just caffeine?

Buy some Pro Plus from Home Bargains for 79p then?

A few of my friends actually live off energy drinks like these. Its quite worrying the amount they drink to 'perk' themselves up. Its not as though they have a hectic or hard life, one of them only works 4 days a week lol.

What makes it even worse is when we go out for a drink is he carrys on having them, i.e. vodka redbulls etc. His insides must literally be decaying away so much.

I stopped drinking red bull after a girl told me i looked more drunk and out of it than my mates.....

I was the designated driver, was only drinking RB, no alcohol.

LOL :D

I used to drink it quite a lot on nights out when not drinking booze, I know what you mean...

Apparently some scientific research has concluded that even for healthy adults drinking one can of red bull affects the endothelium, which is the lining of our blood vessels/lymph system. This reduced elasticity has an immediate though temporary affect on the cardiovascular system, rasing heart attack probability to that of someone with established coronary artery disease.

I really can't imagine you on a night out in Uni, it blows my mind. I always thought you'd get drunk on the blood of the enemies driven before you, and the lamentation of their women.

Lol!!! It was over 10 Years ago... A lot has changed since! :p

Still don't drink the stuff though....

But it's mainly just caffeine?

To be honest, I have no idea when it comes to that. But I think Caffeine makes your heart race, which brought on the irregular heart beat I guess. But I know the Doctor said he was surprised at how it was still legal as it effects your body a lot!
