this happened a fair bit when the hacking first started and I'm not entirely sure what the resolution was, it'll be worth checking on the forums if you've not already. if you've still got all your gear and have taken all the security precautions my advice would be to put it down to experience and carry on from where they left you.

i was hacked too, all gold and items gone. there was also a problem with the roll back, it took them over a week to confirm they couldn't/wouldn't be able to do anything so I essentially started again, but i was lvl 35 in nightmare and totally naked.

Yep, made it abundantly clear how the rollback doesn't significantly help me. 250k really isn't a lot.

My last reply "Could you please clarify for me why my account now has 0 gold on it if it has not been compromised? Gold doesn't just vanish into thin air. I had over 100,000 gold on my account and now have 0. My items are still intact but I suspect this is so that they could gain access again if I did not change my security details and then steal the gold again. The actual amount of gold on my account was likely incredibly low compared to the majority of players so it hardly appears to be in my interest to be trying to use one of my 2 rollbacks for what is a relatively low amount on a character that is not yet even level 60.

If my account 'does not appear to have been compromised' then I don't know what a compromised account looks like. I logged off on the 31st May with gold in my inventory, I logged in on the 11th June with 0 gold in my inventory. That to me appears to be compromised, as I did not move this gold.

I don't know if it's possible but if you have any way of seeing what IPs logged in to my account you will certainly see that my IP address did not access my account between the dates mentioned and a geographical look up of the IP address would show whoever accessed my account did so somewhere else.

All I am asking for is a rollback. I think the fact I am willing to use up a rollback for this matter should be enough to show my innonence in this matter.

The reason I said 100k is cos I know I spent some money on the 31st in the AH but couldn't remember how much, but I think I had 250k or so left.

This means that by simply joining a public game, or opening your own to the public; you can get phished and have not only your Diablo III account compromised, but your World of Warcraft account compromised aswell.

D they use a packet sniffer or something? Is the info transmitted on connect or something silly?
 
anyone got any tips for what weapons for barb in inferno and which stats to be going for?

I can get all the way to the butcher but cannot kill him on my own without the floor going mad and i die, so i guess its a timed thing and i need to do more dps

I don't know how they can argue against that :confused: or even why they would, It's their obligation to do more on the matter, as you said in your reply.
 
Quick question, I have a softcore DH in inferno and have just started a hardcore barb. Can I transfer some gold from my DH to my barb and is so how?
 
I regret selling all of my Barbs gear. Now he's naked with nothing. :(

I had pretty decent +all res gear to. Sold it for way cheap.

Found my first Legendary today on my recently created Barb. Butcher on Nightmare dropped me this guy:

It's slightly better than quite a few of the same item going for around 2-10 million, but how much would any of you realistically expect to sell it for? It's bloody good for its level, but no-one is going to buy a level 31 item for several odd million.

Wish I found a legendary doing an Inferno Butcher run using my DH, though. :p

As a rule of thumb, for any legendary to realistically sell a 100,000G bid with a 1,000,000G buyout is reasonable. Unless its a set or a lv60 one, in which case usually higher.

Or of course a bad one for its level; will sell for much lower, such as a 400dps lv60 sledge I found yesterday, sold for 5k. :rolleyes:
 
Anybody online this time in the morning? I'm tired of sharing my MF/GF with randomers who afk in town whilst we finish off a group of elites that are too strong for them :/

Thats not a rule of thumb, only complete mugs would pay that price for most low level legendary that isn't highly sought after.

You might find a mug willing to pay a lot for that item though. Its got a bit of magic find which people might be searching for it, dex is a bit low but reasonable, IAS is perfect and a small crit chance boost. Elemental Arrow damage boost could be the major selling point though since its the primary damage dealing skill for basically any DH skill set. Depends how desperate someone is for a legendary MF item they can use without having to swap.
