Do you keep your boxes?

I keep all my boxes for everything electrical.

If im buying a pc item 2nd hand i wont buy it unless it has a box,im a bit of a box freek :)

I keep every box for electrical items in the loft. Only throw them out when I run out of room and have a clearout of stuff that's out of reasonable warranty.

I keep all boxes incase any faults occur and I need to take/send them back. I flat pack them as much as I can to save space.

i have done numerous builds for family and friends who inevitably dont want the boxes the components came in so what i do is throw all the component boxes into the case box and then write who's build it was on top

keeps everyones build boxes together and easy to store as they all go into the case box :)

Absolutely, I keep all my boxes for anything I may sell on in future.

Still have some rather large guitar amp boxes around incase I ever want to sell. I personally think a boxed item is much better than unboxed... especially when it comes to computer hardware etc

Only for expensive electrical items such as camera, lenses and Apple stuff.

Kitchen appliance, no.
Toys, no.

I sold my canon 30D last week boxed with even the plastic bag that the charger comes in inside the box. Pretty much how it came when I got it.

I'd never sling my boxes, I love boxes and I have got stacks of em, I put boxes in boxes and store them in the box room, when I have finished with an item I box it back up like new, give it a couple of months then unbox it again, it's like having a new toy.

Don't through out your boxes send them to me, I am the box man.
I hate damaged boxes, if I recieve a damaged box it will go back to the shop.

OCD? :p

Keep them (as insulation in the loft) until warranty expires - then recycle. I always think - just in case I sell - but by the time I get round to that it's all outdated / old hat!

Food for thought.

Do you keep your retail boxes? or just bin/recycle them...

I keep reatil boxes whilst the product is in warranty or if I intend to sell the item if I upgrade (i.e. motherboard boxes, gfx card boxes etc).

I generally keep the boxes of all components I buy in the garage, just in-case I want to sell them or give them to a friend at a later stage (I hate having components lying around without boxes). I still have boxes of motherboards, processors, and graphics cards from 6+ years ago, it does seem somewhat futile at times >_>
