java can be very intence on a system especialy CPU
it is not like a PC game like BF3 they dont use java to run the
grapghic engine of the game.

Oh, no never mind, crashed again :(

Maybe monitor your CPU/GPU temps. It might be that it's causing things to overheat and crash out. The reduced overclock may have caused it to take longer to heat up - hence longer until it crashed.

I'm really just throwing out long-odds guesses here tbh.

There's a lack of food mobs? Can you give me a few more details?
It has been mentioned a few times I think (perhaps on here or in game), but there don't appear to be that many about. I've struggled for food since the server started and I have now run out. On full health I traveled across several biomes looking for mobs and didn't see any at all. I'm now down to no hearts and 2 health. Perhaps it is just bad luck, but there does appear to be fewer around (knock-on from the extra mobs in the mod we're using??).

Maybe every time it spawns something pointless like a snake or scorpion or turtle etc, that takes away a 'normal' animal 'slot'?

Yes, it's likely that the extra mobs are negatively impacting mobs that drop food. I can look into tweaking this and making some mobs a little less common whilst boosting the frequency of things like pigs/etc.

To save me having to go look this up myself can someone list all the food mobs, along with what they drop. I'll then go play with the config file.

No idea. I took the old one out, and it hasn't crashed since. I think the vrm's are overheating. The warranty is also out on it :(

You might be lucky and all you need to do is give the cards a good clean to remove built up dust. It may also be a case heating issue - leaving the side off may sort it.

Or it could just be drivers being funny with xfire. It wouldn't be the first time sadly :(

Thanks FT! Much appreciated.

I've made a minor tweak now that should take effect next restart. Basically increasing the likelihood of the food animals spawning to 150% current value and reducing the likelihood of a few of the other creatures by about 50%. I have also tweaked creeper spawns down very slightly - by about 20%.
