can you recomend 5 must play PC games?

Minecraft and then the yogbox (more advanced minecraft) So much fun!

The Civilization series. 5 is good if not perfect but there are loads of mods!

Mass Effect series.

Elder scrolls series.

Deus ex + Human revolution.

Pretty much the backbone of PC gaming for me at the moment :D

Five must play games:

1. World of Tanks (free to try, why not?)
2. Supreme Commander 2 (Supreme Commander 1 with Forged alliance if you want bigger scale)
3. Left 4 Dead 1 & 2
4. Call of Duty 4
5. FEAR (1 is the best, but 2+3 are quite fun too, though 2 onwards lose the scary factor.)

Also look at Crysis (the first one really), the Counterstrike games and the Command and Conquer series (except C&C4) as well.

Fear 3 is on Steam for £5.20p :)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - don't bother with any of the other CoD titles, Modern Warfare is by far the best

:/

For SP, play Call of Duty. Then play United Offensive. Then play Call of Duty 2. Then turn off your PC, stick your fingers in your ears and say to yourself "that's all they made, that's all they made...".

For multi-player, I'd agree that MW1 is the least bad of the modern bunch.

Modern Warfare was a brilliant game all around, and in my opinion the best game in the franchise, despite all I hate CoD. Call of Duty has fell to the Halo curse, it reinvented itself and completely redefined the genre, but then it started getting stale with absolutely nothing new. Halo corrected that with Reach and 4, which look like decent games, Call of Duty on the other hand hasn't changed since Modern Warfare, hence why Modern Warfare is the best. Nobody can say any of the Call of Duty games aren't good games, they are all playable and enjoyable, but they do not deserve a purchase as each game is nothing more than an overglorified cashcow of an expansion pack.

I do not own any CoD titles btw, except the originals and once owned Modern Warfare on Xbox, I saw what CoD would turn into coming a mile away with World at War and stayed well away.

My pics would be:

STALKER series
Metro 2033
F.E.A.R series
Bioshock
Dead Space 1&2
Fallout 3

Plus, if the "horror" thing isn't a necessity.

GTA 3&4
Mass Effect series
The Witcher 2
Shogun 2

:D

Portal - unique game concept, challenging, very funny, cake at the end.

Civilization IV or V - for turn based strategy superbly put together. Not played the earlier ones myself however they set the scene for the later ones.

SimCity 4 - (yes i like my strategy games) Awesome city builder game, timeless.

BF3 - best FPS, only if you're winning.

Can't think of a fifth game, maybe Half-Life the first one, or Fallout 4 New Vegas. Gran Turismo 3 on the PS2 still holds the most hours played for any game personally but im sure theres better driving games out there now. Also Tom Clancy Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear (from 1998) - huge gun and grenade choice, and good AI for targets. TANGO DOWN!

Well 5 recent things:

1. Mass effect 1, 2, 3 (just count it as one! ;) )
2. Portal 1, 2
3. KoTOR I (and II if you like)
4. Skyrim
5. 5th one is your choice.

I'm a bit out of touch with all the brand new games but these series are all well worth playing:

Portal
Half-Life
Diablo
Fear
Bioshock
Elder Scrolls

Bioshock
Skyrim
Portal
Max Payne

Then hopefully Project Black Mesa will be done so you can play a modern version of half-life and then half-life 2.

STALKER Trilogy
Mass Effect Trilogy
Skyrim
Half Life 2 and its episodes
Bioshock 1 and 2

That should see you 500 hours of gameplay, no bother :)
