i cook my chicken up on a sunday and stick it in the fridge, this covers me till the following sunday. Never been ill from doing this (touch wood) and the chicken has never shown signs of turning over this period. I keep it in a sealed tupaware contrainer so guess this helps a little.
 
I just ate a piece of chicken I cooked 8 days ago...

Most sensible thing I've ever done? No
Is it perfectly ok? Yep

As long as you cook it properly and store it correctly, it will be fine for a few days
 
A whole chicken usually only lasts me 2 meals, 3 if I use the carcas for a soup.

I just just ate a smoked oyster and goats cheese salad, going to be stinking up the gym if I squeeze to hard on leg training :p
 
500g of turkey mince is 3 meals absolute max.

I make my burgers all at once then cook them within a few days.

Hmmmmm piri piri turkey burgers...

Yep, had it monday, tuesday and yesterday :)

Worked out quite well actually. Think i'll try poaching the fish tonight :o Not done that before!
 
I use 100g lean mince for my burgers.

What do you do with yours LiE? ie what do you put in them if anything? Or do you just remove a wodge of mince, press it, then fry it? :p

100g lean mince, add in salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and smoke paprika. Put in a wholemeal bun with 2 slices of spicy cheddar and a dash of honey smoked bbq sauce :)
