***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

In the built in mail client: if I have a number of email to read how can I jump to the next unread mail without closing the current mail going back to the inbox and selecting the next one. On the Desire I would simply click an up / down arrow to move between emails.
Pete,
Just swipe left or right to go to the previous or next email.
I've just tried it in the standard email app and in the gmail one, both work the same.

Bit of advice peeps.

I've got wind of someone who's had a new SG3 on upgrade via Vodaphone but needs the money. I've offered £400 which she is prepared to accept.

My only concern is if something is faulty; how would I come off getting it put right? I've read of quite a few complaints about defects with the screen (dark blotches...) that have required an exchange of the handset. How would I fare with that? Would I have to send it myself to Samsung to be repaired?

The other thing is it's on vodaphone, do they lock their handsets? She reckons it will take an orange sim and o2 sim and she was able to check balances etc indicating it's not locked, but I've read elsewhere that voda DO lock their phones!!

Any advice/opinions?

Cheers

This wasn't working for me - it would just scroll the email left and right.
However I found if I scroll over the message header..... it works :D

I just use the default alarm widget alows you to scroll through your alarms and activate or change them. simple.

Just a bit of a pain when the old clock widget took you into the clock app, not the clock setting. I open the clock app 1000x more often than the clock settings.

Coming from a HD2 with ported Android I'm new to a native android device. I'm, just wondering when flashing a new custom rom is it ok to not factory reset? Can anyone tell me the procedure they use?

Is is something like CWM > Clear Caches > Flash Zip > Reboot?

Or do people do something different, sorry for the noob question.

People would always recommended you do a clean flash, especially coming from a different baseline.

The process is normally:
CWM > Wipe data/factory reset > Flash zip > Reboot

But the problem is you lose everything and a pain to restore. So now I just do a dirty flash
CWM > Flash zip > Reboot

Some people say it can cause problems but worked great for me.

Thanks, I guessed that might be the case. If people do a full wipe each time, what the easiest way to restore all settings and apps etc the quickest?

Anyone got any more updates from play.com for the blue?

Might not be of any help but I got an update from T-Mobile today letting me know that they recieved a delivery of the blue today and I should expect mine to be delivered in the next 3-5 days. Initially I was told it would be end of the month.
