Heads-up display in the car linked to Google Navigation. So when you look through your windscreen you see the big coloured arrows on the road itself... and a large flag when you reach your destination

I dont know whats up soon, but I know what we really need. We need real world large capacity large scale energy storage. Currently all power is produced on demand, which is horribly inefficient. The problem with most renewable energy is that the sources are variable, such as tidal and wind power. But there isnt a way to store this power if its not in demand at the time of production.
If we had large scale energy storage, such as could power a city for many hours if supplies went down, then our energy income would be a lot more stable.

There are production cars with HUDs already, I think extending it to navigation is the next logical step.
Seen it on the BMW 6 series pretty smart how it works with BMW's night vision.
HUD has been available on some models for a number of years. It's one option I wouldn’t be without as the speedo display is a “life” saver. The navigation display was a bit mickey mousey but still beat having to look at another display. It has now been considerably improved with the full colour TFT display which I have on my M5. I expect to see 3D projections in the near future.
You not heard of Lipo batteries then, i charge mine in under 10 minutes.

You’ll need a body implant to intercept and correct that.
You wouldn't be focusing on the windscreen, it's quite possible to change the focal point so the overlay appears to be infront of the car. There is also plenty of opacity with the projection methods and the brightness can be adjusted based on ambient light. Like smartphone screens. So there is not obscuring of physical objects.
