Would you qualify that a little more please?

Sure - the maps themselves cover large-ish areas but the actual playable areas centre around a very small zone where all of the flags are located, therefore resulting in relatively (compared to BF2) close combat. So actually it doesnt cater to all tastes. Really hoping they correct this with Armoured Kill.

People need to take off their rose tinted spectacles and have a proper think. So what if BF2 had larger maps? Anyone that played the game for a decent length of time knows the smaller maps were the most popular.

One thing I know, by playing CQ, my gunplay is going to be a lot stronger in all areas of BF3.
Really enjoying the new DLC, I find myself not being able to play for as long, obviously the frantic, fast pace, takes its toll on this ole boy. :)

Thought that's what you were getting at. Having not played BF2 I couldn't comment. I guess Caspian could have the flags further apart with no detrimental effect. B and E come to mind most, B futher along the highway and have the road for E sweep further out towards the perimieter.

close quarters = cod clone or trying to be . this is what we on about ;)

Yeah, it really isn't... It's more Counter Strike than Cod... CoD is just a noob killstreak spam fest where every gun is a no recoil death ray.

I hate CoD but really enjoy the change of pace in Close Quarters. I do stick to 16 player servers though.

Been living on an 8 player gun master server this weekend, it's the perfect number, people play with a little trepidation instead of all out running and bunny hopping like a loon.

Does premium give you any new unlocks or weapons?

If every dlc is around a £10, premium is good value?

in theory yes.

but specific DLC may not be your cup of tea.

the reason in my eyes for premium is to get the metro lovers who don't like "big maps" to purchase, at a discount, DLC which they would never buy. (armored kill,).

it may seem like they will lose out on profit with premium but in actual fact they are charging people for stuff they would never buy.

heir are console premium members who are complaining about the size of Caspian border/firestorm for its sheer scale. yet they've pre order at a discount armored kill via premium which they they will save them money....

yes it does give you new weapons. so would buying each DLC individually. the only thing you get exclusively as a premium member is weapon camo ,dogtags a unique knife a server queue priority.

I knoticed there are premium only unlocks tho?

Are you saying that buying the 4 dlc's individually is no difference to purchssing premium? As far as it looks to me there are premium only unlocks, but I could be wrong.

The premium only unlocks are useless things like tags and camo, no actual weapons, plus double XP weekends.

So far, anyway.

its cheaper to buy premium than to buy them individually yes.

the only premium unlocks im aware of is dog tags, which are a load of ******** in my opinion.
