Basically, the difference is i'm 'snapping' in to the bar, whereas yours is a slower movement.

But as you say, it might be the angle. Are you able to raise the camera / phone at all? :)

Are we still on about pumping iron? :o

?

Are you ramming a small hard ball in to your arse cheeks and a roller of some sort on to your hamstrings to help with the issues you are having, as that may have an effect on your back rounding if you are tight elsewhere I would have thought

I tohught you was doing that previously, hence me asking :)

No balls in my arse, no.

No rolling on hamstrings either, this is why I asked what to do in my 1st post today - should I be rolling and balling?

Does your back round on squats as well?

I would try it personally. But it'd be nice for ice / dom or someone else to come along and throw some advice over.

It could all be related then. Ask in the mob thread as well then and see if there would be any relationship between back rounding on deads and tight glute/hams.

EDIT: I was going to mention warrior lunges, but wasn't sure whether to or not

Defo do ball/roller stuff. And warrior lunges. And pigeon poses.

Cool, no idea what they are so will have a Google :)

Good idea :)

As to me, it looks like something physically stops your back moving past a certain point, so it rounds half way down towards the bottom.

But not being an expert in anatomy and muscle linkage and other gumpf, I don't know :p

icecold - have you got any recommendations for stretches to give me a better clean position, to get my elbows further up and wrist in a better position?
Would help me on cleans and front squats!

For CGBP AND normal bench?
Yes

Sigma try these:

I wouldn't normally recommend them, but we need to teach your back how to maintain that position. Lift your legs up very slightly too and see how that feels.

Try 3x20second holds and go from there.

Do not do these before deads or squats.
