*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

It tries to be like GTA, but in my opinion fails almost entirely on every level. It's not as funny, not as clever, not as well-designed, not as interesting, the storyline/characters are rubbish, the vehicle handling and physics are terrible and I found the game to be rather glitchy.

This was on PS3 not PC, but I can't imagine it being all that different. People say that Saints Row is what GTA was before it become "too serious", but even then the older GTAs are far better.

Have you played the 3rd SR game? it's got completely new physics, cars etc handle well unlike the first two and it's looks and played beautifully on the PC. PS3? This is the PC section, derp.

Yes, I was talking about the third one. The vehicle handling and physics were just as poor as they were on SR2, cars have absolutely no feel to them whatsoever and the physics engine is still miles behind GTA4.

Must admit I don't see that in game, either it's terrible on the PS3 or we're playing different versions. Driving in SR3 isn't quite on a part with GTA4 but then again it's meant to be easier and more focused on fun, I don't think that makes it a worse game and I've played both to for well over 100 hours each.

If I want realism I'd play GTA4 but strangely enough I don't even have it installed due to the shear fun factor of SR3.

Is Space Marine steamworks?

Don't know whether to pick it up now or wait to see if it is any cheaper next week in the steam sale...

each to their own I guess, I have sr3 on the ps3 and enjoyed it quite a bit. not played sr2 yet so can't say how the two compare.

i wish all these keys would work on steam, i dont fancy having all these different programs to run each game, that game fly offer is mega, but im not going for it. as i already have a huge steam folder and *groans* origin folder going.

does anybody know how to activate games on the gamesplanet website?
