Thanks for that, yeah around 7k armour too, just under I think. Trouble is nothing ever decent drops and anything for an upgrade on the AH is a lot of money now.

I might have some old gear that could be worthwhile for you - depends where you are currently with gear, if you're interested in comparing add me, "Farthing#2604" I'm currently working my way up. Can smash through Act 1 with very little issues. Although did come up against an insane mob earlier.
Disentombed Hulk's with Jailer, Extra Health, Shielding and Plagued. Just could barely touch them. :(

Currently looking like this after just spending a million credit or so on 2 new rings and

Will likely give act 2 a proper shot tomorrow. Avoided it so far as the wasps just used to annoy the **** out of me!

Quick one, is INT any good for a monk? I have been going for DEX and VIT along side the usual resistances, MF ect ect

Bashiok is getting destroyed in the forums, he's replying to all the AS nerf posts and the repair buff, he seem's to think that death has meant nothing for all this time and now we are moaning because we have to be careful about dying, people are correct in replying that the being careful about dying is what hardcore is for!, he's also saying that we should be thankfull that they nerfed the attack speed and not other stats, he's full of ****, trash mod.

I've spent 500-700k on repairs today, and i haven't had a single item to cover it, as said before, RMAH = Repair money auction house.

If more people are trying to sell items for gold then surely that will drive the prices down?

Prices will go down now as the way I see it, with greatly increased repair costs people have less gold. If they have less gold they can't afford an item costing x million credits. The Item then ends up selling for less on the auction house as a result.

If there wasn't a substantial gold sink in this game inflation would just sky rocket and gold would eventually become worthless, which will probably happen eventually anyway

its the first time in 3 weeks that my auction list is ''10 of 10'', ive undercut by 50-100k on each item, and none have sold, the gear is also high int, vit, res, which is the most sort after atm, it doesn't look good tbh, im currently searching the net for other games to play :(, i didn't think this would happen so soon.

I had a little blast last night and did some Butcher runs with a friend of mine (and solo) and found it difficult at first but then quickly got into the swing of things and started owning face (only dying maybe once a run if we came across some retarded sets of elites)

Overall I think the repair costs are fair, 14k gold to repair after 2/3 deaths and if I didn't die it would cost me 2kish. A full bag of blues sells to vendor for around 10k at this point without what seems to be increased cash amounts dropping as we were getting anywhere between 100-900 gold in piles with no real additional gold find.

I thought it was 2 guaranteed rares as well but once you get 5 stacks of Neph you get a fair few rares anyway, as we were averaging about 5 rares a run.... and for those complaining about the the lack of rares dropping now, just take a look at what they are called...RARES.... they aren't rare if they drop 10 a penny.

So why is that a surprise? You either grind for a long time to get gear that far surpasses what is required for the act or you [Brisk death and lose everything [/B]and it only takes 1 very bad elite combination. I would've thought 9500 armour and 800 all res to be enough for act II. It isn't.

When you say risk and lose everything, what are you risking other than the repair costs?

Anyone playing a witch doctor? I'm level 34 and just walked through the skelly king on nightmare. At the moment i have the following skills:

Primary: Poison Darts + triple shot rune
Secondary: AOE Root + reduced cooldown
4 x Zombie Dogs
Gargantuan with enrage
AOE dmg increase per mob hit with + heal
Swarm aoe with extra jumps

Passives are reduced damaged, increased life for pets and the one that lets me take a death shot.

Seems to give me enough single target damage with poison darts and the root and swarm spells eat through trash mobs in no time. I have a feeling my pets will become useless later on though as even now it's unlikely all the dogs live past a blue mob and the cooldown is so long they barely feature against bosses. The gargantuan seems pretty tough though and i've rarely had to resummon during fights. Anyone have any suggestion for maximising damage?

Whilst farming for the Staff of Herding ingredients, I had a lvl8 Legendary belt drop in the Path to the Oasis chapter . Kind of makes up for the hour I spent farming Izual just to get the plans. So far I have Leoric's Shinbone and the Black Mushroom towards making the staff.

because in hardcore mode once you die that's it - no 2nd chances. you have to start again with a new character.

What the hell did the patch do to this game, my game was stuttering all over the place last night, every 3 or 4 seconds my char looked to be running through treacle, kept slowing down and then speeding back up.

Messed about with the settings, I usually don't mind playing games with v-sync off but I have to admit the tearing was unreal. So put v-sync on and was capped to 30fps..... Messed about with the ATI settings and got it to 60 (kind of) still huge stuttering and lag :(

Although my damage has taken a hit, 17.5k down to 14k, I can still roll Act 1, although even a full run not dying costs me over 10k in repairs :/ Didn't find a single item that I could sell on the gold AH, they were all terrible. Also feel I need to sell blues to the merchant to offset repair costs. I cannot afford to salvage for the mats or make a loss on the run pretty much.

If I can get my attack speed back to 2.0 (currently sits at 1.5, after patch) and my damage to about 20k then I think Act 2 will be a walk over. Gave Act 2 an attempt last night, starting midway to killing maghda. Only died once to a real nasty elite, (Molten, fast, plague, arcane orb, waller) Got a 5 stack and killed maghda very easily.

Bashiok will get the sack if he keeps up.

He's supposed to be a community manager and do his best to keep everyone happy, but he just trolls and insults people as of late.
