Toyota supra mkiv opinions

i do like supra's. theres just something about them that grabs your attention when one drives past.

i wouldn't be upset if i found one :D

heh, you crashed a NA?

Easier done than said (think that's the right way round) as they don't have the same diff options as the TT so its actually easier to get the rear out on the NA (assuming both cars cornering at the same speed ofc).

Out of interest Nath did you ever post the story surrounding what happened? I remember seeing people asking when you got your Z but don't recall seeing the response.

I never made a specific thread for it but I have detailed the accident on here somewhere.

I still have the car though :D

Which did/do you prefer driving Nath?

350Z every time.

So much more balanced, superior handling, braking, lovely linear power delivery.

Ok my supra was N/A but taking the power out the equation the 350z is just a far more polished package.

Things I miss are the Supra's looks, having rear seats, getting compliments all the time lol.

Don't think I would ever get rid of mine. They take some looking after but driven sensibly the fuel economy isn't too bad. The main place for rust is around the tailgate, only main other things to check are turbo seals and the crank pully which has a habit of falling to bits on old cars.

I wouldn't overlook the NA though, sure it hasn't got the power but it's a lot of car for the money and the engine is bullet proof. You can get a TT engine conversion for about £2000 when you want more power. If you can find an aerotop NA for a good price then it's well worth picking up and converting. Saving some bigger pennys down the line can see you take the standard engine power up to pretty much what you want if your wallet is big enough, i'm currently at 407bhp but down the line i'd like to get a very fast spooling single conversion around 650 or so.
