Last year I agonised over whether to buy a sealed, PAL, black label edition I saw on ebay for £800. Opted to stick with my pitiful Platinum copy. Part of me still regrets that decision...

Wait, why are they bringing VII to Steam? Why not bring I-X in one huge package? Or I-X in single releases or whatever, why just plop seven out by itself? Derp.

Played this on the Playstation when it first came out. It took me around 80 hours to complete and as soon as I'd finished I immediately started playing it again from the start. One of my favourite games of all time.

Because they only ever released VII and VIII on PC. Non of the other (single player games) were ever ported to PC.

I know, because of Cloud. Still doesn't explain why they don't bring the rest out. I'm pretty sad to say it, but I've only experienced 7, I enjoyed it to some degree but didn't bother finishing it as I didn't feel like there was any reason too, because I knew that I'd not play the rest. This would be a perfect opportunity for me to experience the whole series and line Square's pockets with some nice tidy profit.

In this day and age, porting the others to PC would be a very easy task, poor excuse IMO.

I played FF7 on my Playstation 2. I loved the way it was backwards compatible with the old PS1 games

And how I managed to breed a golden Chocobo as a kid is beyond me, I couldn't stomach it now.

Game's wayyyy too easy 'n all, Physical attacks to best bosses was boring.

I found/find Zack a much better character, but that's probably due to the date crisis core came out and the technology etc.
