Got the same error with mine.
Did it via Kies (yes its an aweful piece of software!) and it worked fine.
Rerooted and all working
Mobilephonesdirect have delayed the PB version againJust changed my order to the white one, meh.
Nooooooo Benjo don't do it. My PB turned up today (direct from Orange) and it's more purdy than the 'meh' white one

Got my PB on Monday but not had time to play with it much, Coming from an iPhone 4 I'm very impressed
I do have one niggle though - Battery power! How long is it supposed to last? I charged it up last night and at 10pm it was on 100% and 5pm today its on 26% I've got everything set up on powersave turned off GPS, Screen is on auto. I've spent about 30 mins surfing, received a few txt's and alerts. Not really used it much at all
My iPhone had amazing battery life compared to this!
Any tips?

It's a common problem mine is the same, it eat's battery power while in standby from some reason, the way i got the battery to last was to turn off basically everything ie sync, mobile data and put into powersave, when i did this it hardly used the battery all night.
This is the problem when you become an early adopter you have to put up with all the bugs, till they sorted.
Their is a new firmware out which im downloading at the min, LF6 it's Asian but has english, gonna flash this see if the battery drain has been fixed.
Odd as my battery use is about 25% better than my S2 on the extended battery. Very please and I'm now going to bed after if being off charge for 18hours and normal use with still 40%-50% left. 100% brightness as well, with GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth on all day and using 3G for about 10 hours.

I can't understand why anyone would pay £500+ sim free when these sorts of offers are available on contract, where you can simply throw away the sim and use your own. I got my Galaxy Note the same way. If you want, just cancel the contract after a few months, and pay the remainder off in one go and it still works out much cheaper.
