No maintenance apart from feeding them tbh
Cleaning, letting them in/out, giving them any medical care e.g. the mite powder, try to stop them getting broody etc. I'd agree they're fairly simple to look after but not that they're no hassle - if you go away for even a weekend you've got to find someone who can let them in and out which can be an inconvenience.
