Looking back you said you had 21k dps. Is that the max you can get when fully buffed? I'm not really sure what sort of survivability the Monk has vs a Barbarian but with my 6400 armour (w/ War Cry and Enchantress) and ~700 all res I could reach around 33k dps fully buffed and around 80k with Wrath of the Berserker, plus Ignore Pain for damage reduction/healing which is the only reason I managed to take down the majority of elites/champs I came across.

i can get 25k dps with about 500 resists, but im still going to have low armour

bought some cheapish high armour pieces which gave me an extra 650 or so, but i lost 12k hp and about 4k dps i think. another problem im facing is some of my gear has good crit chance, and i dont think i can afford to replace those with +armor as my dps will plummet. done about as much farming of act 1 as i care to do tbh.

i can swap my 2H for 2x1H's but again, i lose 7k dps then. will keep looking on AH i guess.
 
if anyone comes accross a decent 2 hander for my monk it would be great .. tested a cheap one from AH with some dex and life on hit and tbh its dam good .. lose loads of dps/crit/dex from my 2 x 1handers but its so fun smashing stuff with the 2 hander
 
Er, has the game just broken for anyone else? Was just wandering around then everything suddenly stopped like it had lagged out.

Had to Alt+F4 and when I try to log in it gets stuck on 3 ticks for ages, then gives me an error 3006 'error switching heroes' :confused:
 
Just found a helm, not sure how much it's worth

80 strength
120 vitality
35 physical resist
critical hit chance 5.5%
level requirement reduced by 7
reduces cost of disintegrate by 1

searched on AH but couldn't find anything with those stats :(
stuff similar is on for 2mil buyout but they didn't have level required reduction or critical hit chance 5.5%

With that dex/vit/crit hit chance, I'm sure it's worth quite a bit. Hell, even barbs would pay quite a bit for that crit hit chance + all res + Vit, and Monks, would adore it....

All Res is V. expensive.. I'd say it's probably a couple of m for that ammy. If not more...

Yes it could have crit damage and atk spd, but still...

Yah for a day off work, finaly got round to playing it today.

An hour before the gym at 7am turned in to a 5 hour sitting on my backside doing naff all else.

Must say, whoever does blizzards art work, they deserve a gold star, wonderfull experience running through the castles and keeps.

The only downer, aside from sucking at life for not hitting the gym for the first time in months... gona need another intelimouse 1.1:)

Hopefully ill get better luck droping one of them on the bay then i did today in the game with the best of the day magic pants:)

What'a fun game.
 
Pretty much maxed out as best I can now on my DH, upgrades over what I have are upwards of 10 million each or more.

Current stats are:

35k hp,
40k dps,
48.5% crit chance,
156% crit dam, <--- what I wanna increase most
~700 all resists give or take 10-20.
 
yea i always like blizzard cinematics / arts but i think it would have been better if they used less 'paper' style cinematics and stick with D2 style
 
Would anyone be kind enough to make a Nightmare Diablo quest game for me? I'm power leveling and prefer not to go through all acts. :P

All you need to do is make the game and you can leave.

Then either you aren't looking at the important stats or its got a good chance of being rare and valuable. Should be fairly easy to find something with Str, Vit and Crit Chance if you search for around 73/113/5.5. Phys Res is a nice bonus so you can take that into account when looking at similar items and determining price. Cost reduction is worthless cos its clearly a barb helm and 1 cost isn't noticeable. Level reduced is also pretty irrelevant as the only thing it really matters on is a weapon for the purposes of rampaging through the earlier difficulties with a powerful weapon.

so back to the Q, these are in my bag still, no idea what to list them for, suggestions?
 
I'm still really struggling on Act2 Inferno. I can walk through Act1 only dying if I make a stupid mistake or pull 2 elite mobs (although I have got away with that as many times as messed up)

Move onto Act 2 and I just get obliterated by the first elite mob I see. It's generally Lacuni Huntress with some annoying combination :/

Approx 7500 armour, approaching 20k base dps, 29k hitpoints and all of my resists are 700 or over. I'm still using 2 handed with a total of 970 life on hit currently but I've seen other people mention they've pulled it off with comparable stats so I'm just baffled where I'm going wrong :p
My gear totals probably 5m ingame credit at a guess for perspective. Currently using both of the 2 passive armour resists and Relentless.

Any pointers? Getting bored of farming act 1 over and over!

Int, Vit, All Res. One of the easiest combinations to search the AH for. Good stats but probably not mega valuable as it has no IAS/crit stats.

@PinkFloyd - Are you using Wrath of the Berserker, Ignore Pain and Revenge?

Anybody want to play Act 1 Inferno? I'm about to give up cos I keep coming up against just ridiculous elite packs.

I don't mind a challenge but having walling,arcane,vortex and having it in a narrow corridor isn't a challenge, it's just retarded.

you wait till Act 2 !

its so much more difficult I'm half tempted to give up now - 56 hours in wouldn't be bad going for a game anyway
