Things to do round Newcastle / Sunderland

Not doubting that, but their not all Geordies, also don't tar all Geordies with the same brush, they are the minority!

KaHn
I never insulted all Geordies, I just insulted the cast of Geardie Shore

Maybe you missed this post?

They're ALL oxygen thieves!

Avoid Sunderland and the Boro if at all possible or consider body armour and a spare set of wheels for your car in the Boro.

funny how everyone's saying how bad the northeast is, compared to London its tame.

you don't get people stabbing each other every five minutes..

sunderland, i like Harrington park, seaburn for the beach.

gateshead for the metro center and newcastles city center..

everyones friendly enough, ive just been heading for the country side a lot lately for long bike rides..

depends what you're into really

I live in the North East. I worked in Sunderland for many years. I stand by my comments.

No, I live in Toronto. And I am an outsider (originally from the westcountry), so my view is totally impartial!

to be fair those crime stats dont look that bad considering sunderland had over 600 violent attacks in the same period :S

Oh wait jsut checked the violent crime stats for there over 30000 per annum wow

i dont even live in sunderland anymore, but as it seems the cool thing here to bad mouth the place ill stop defending it..

"stay south, they're all lovely people down there, no stabbings, no rude bad mannered people down there"

im not bad mouthing the place I love it up here been to many places in Scotland and England and nowhere is like home as they say all of the places Ive visited have had bad sides as well as good I think the North is looked down upon by people from down the country but at least if someone bumps into me on a train they will apologise if it happens in London they look at you like your gonna stab them and never make any eye contact. That and in one night in London I saw more fights in 2 hours then id seen in about 10 years of weekends in Sunderland and Newcastle but it was Romford so that may explain it.
