Yeah half thinking they are just pre-spending the Rhodes cash now and getting 2-3 players in his place.

Either way they should be looking to do well next season.

Looks like Spurs have signed Sigurdsson. Could be a good signing in midfield alongside Modric unless he is off.
 
Just read the Sigurdsson story, must be Modric's replacement if its true (I say if it's true because I find it hard to believe anyone would go to a club where there's no manager if you can link up with your old boss at arguably a bigger club)
 
Rumours are Drogba will sign for Barca today, I thought he'd already signed for that Chinese club but apparently there's a clause that says he can join Barca (or something like that, I dunno)

seems a bit of a strange move by barca, bit like Ibrahimovic all over again ?

yet another strange one, sign for a manager you know, enjoyed playing under and wanted to sign you, for somewhere that doesn't even have a manager :confused:

only 2 things i can think of are better money (unlikely at spurs ?) or the fact he thinks hes got a better chance of more football at spurs ?

Not very fair on the Chinese club and their fans who probably already have Drogba's name on the back of their replica shirts.

If it is true and there is a clause in there, they probably didn't expect Barca to come calling less than a week after he signs!
 
Im hopeful signing of podolski and giroud will show rvp wenger knows we cant rely on rvp and they will help him.

Podolski can play left wing instead of gervinho/arshavin and giroud could play upfront with rvp

hopefully :)

I'd stick RVP on the right.
 
Yeah I guess that's an option, from what I've seen of Giroud he looks like someone who would be the spearhead of the attack rather than out wide so I guess RVP playing from the right would allow him to cut in on his left foot, just not sure if he'd be wasted from a wide area....
