So , im using Apex launcher on the stock rom and it often fails to go back to the home screen with the home button correctly and the screen goes blank. I then have to wait for it to redraw the homescreen or have to press the off button to lock the screen and then again to get back to the homescreen. This never happened with touchwiz. Are there any good launchers that DONT do this?

The S3 supports SDXC so 2TB limit iirc. 64GB is a good choice at the moment.

Have a look for a SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC 64GB, Class 10 (SDSDQU-064G-U46A)

It's not the launchers, it's the firmware.

Thanks for the pointer.

Is there such a thing as read/write for MicroSDXC just like a USB device having read/write? And what are the speeds one of these days?

Success! It does help when you actually try and flash a valid file! All went through perfectly, and I set the CSC code to BTU, phone is now 100% stock. Can't thank you enough for your support Grahame, brilliant!

Brilliant! Glad you got it sorted! I hate branded phones and i done what you did as soon as I got my phone last week. Seems faster overall too! Hope you didn't get too much stick from the Mrs ;-) I once bricked my wife's htc desire, that was a brown trousers moment! I literally stayed up all night fixing it. Thankfully she was asleep and was none the wiser :-)

It's a Samsung bug covered a few times already. They've set launcher priority to 6 or something low like that when it should be 0 or 1. There are patches available that devs have made but you need to be rooted to apply them or you have to wait until Samsung release an update.
 
I can't seem to view my SD card using ES explorer, it only let's me view the internal storage which it calls SD card. :( Any ideas?

extSDcard is the Micro SDcard is internal storage.

So let me get this right: we have at least 64GB for internal storage in additions to the 16GB comes with the phone, that's brilliant!

And is this class 10 = 10MB/s is the min write speed so the maximum speed is ?

Looks like I can now store several movies and play them this new great toy!

The Max depends on your hardware.

I'll be taking Sherlock and Studio 60 with me at the weekend!
 
Yes although Sandisk have announced the Ultra variant recently too which are gold U1 cards. They are not out yet.
