so those that play games are you leaving vsync off as others have suggested?
I have triple buffering off and adaptive vsync on, been fine for me.

DSR would apply if you wish to return it.Argh, I didn't know 1 came with it. I bought a seperate 1 for a tenner![]()

Hi
i've already posted a message about my stuck pixel but i'll deal with it by myself, i think i gathered enough informations.
i'm having trouble tweaking all the things i'd like to (hmmm...). first of all i'm shocked by how washed the colors are by default ! is that normal ? i had issues with the drivers, windows 7 didn't want to look for new ones at first. i think i solved the problem but not so sure.
So, the manual says : " Available menu options may vary depending on the input sources, functions and settings. Menu options that are not available will become grayed out ."
i actually have many options in grey, like gamma, color temperature etc... i'm using a dvi cable so where does the problem come from? my graphic card is a 7970 if that can help. i also noticed i wasn't in 120Hz, i'm in 60 hz(the monitor is already pretty fast though !). i've read several times "standard mode" but i don't see any standard mode in the manual or in the menu, i'd like to go for that and see how it is.
the thing is i don't know why i can't touch some options like gamma, color temperature, saturation, hue... I use a dvi connection. If you can set these options, your fine:
Gamma 4
Brightness 5
Contrast 50
Colour Temperature 96/97/100
Sharpness 5

If you can set these options, your fine:
Gamma 4
Brightness 5
Contrast 50
Colour Temperature 96/97/100
Sharpness 5
This is waiting for me at home at the moment
Although, my HD 7970 (MSI) only has single link DVI ports, does this mean I won't be able to play in 120 Hz?
Thanks for any replies!
It's the cable that has to be dual link, not the port.

Actually it's both. The GPU port controller needs to be able to handle the correct bandwidth and so it can tranfer the data properly. The MSI 7970 is gimped in that its DVI-I ports are only capable of outputting to a single DVI channel (single link).
@ crusa. You will need to use the MiniDP ports. You will need a MiniDP to DP cable or 'straight DP cable' and adaptor (may have come with your GPU) for 120Hz goodness.

Just ordered one of these, heard some amazing things about them. Cannot wait to use it.
So after 3 monitors returned I got fed up.. red tint here, clouding across screen there, dead pixels.. I did like this monitor too but may hold out before re-ordering, see what else is on the market.
Could have been a bad batch, by the way. Don't be put off.
The monitor is superb. By far the best on the market.
