***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Okay I give up. How can I change how long the phone rings before going over to voicemail please? At the moment its too short and I sometimes can't get it out of my pocket quick enough.

That's network setting but it can be changed, you can Google it up as it just involves a special dial code to set or or call their CS to get it.

Go to Settings then Accessibility then Services and turn all of them Off

Would that not stop lightflow from working?

Omega is just such a fantastic and polished all-round ROM with such nice integrated tweaks and features that I can't imagine changing for anything else in the forseeable future.

Really? I find the features quite limited, coming from latest AKOP rom. Omega is pretty much a stock ROM.

I like to see the brightness control slider on the status bar and track skip on volume rocker long press, just to name a few.

I'm using Nova Launcher (free version) but would like to use a different lockscreen than the stock TW one - is this at all possible as I've looked in the settings but to no avail....

Is it? All my previous Android phones had a setting in the phone for it either number of rings or periods of seconds.............

Although none of them were ICS.

AKOP still has some pretty big bugs (camera not working for a fair few people) accordin to todays read of the thread.

I've never seen that before, and you can't even set this through call settings where you can change some network options. That sounds like a feature of a dialler you had installed that will divert to voicemail/reject for you.

Technically it can be either (although it's seldom rare to find it in stock phone ROMs, networks have a really good reason for not letting people arse about with it)... phones or networks can be the "one" to push the phonecall from ringing your phone to the voicemail server but in 99% of cases it's the networks setup in all honesty. You need to use a GSM hashcode to change it, here's a quick article on how to do it:

Edit: There are a LOT of GSM hashcodes if you want to play - http://www.cellular.co.za/gsm_hash_code.htm

Just a question that's bugged me for a while,

when i flash a new ROM, say going from omega to wanam i back-up using titanium batch, what should i restore once i've got the new rom set-up?

User data and system data etc?

i just worry that i restore files from the previous ROM that may adversely affect the new ROM..

You should restore user apps and data and not restore any system apps with data. The only ones you can safely restore are the green highlighted ones which are wifi access point, bluetooth pairings etc.

Put my order in today for one, 2000mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet(no cap) for 36£ a month on T-mobile and the phone was free which i thought was good deal :D

Be here tomorrow if UK Mail? don't fail on the shipping

Ok noob question, been rooted for the past few days and i have titanium backup pro and would like to back up my phone as im playing around with the idea of putting a custom rom on my S3 but obviously if i dont like it, then i want to be able to flash back to how my phone was before i put a custom rom on it.

I take it titanium back up will allow me to do that?...just hate re-downloading then setting up each app as i had it before especially on a couple of games i have ie find that i have to restart my progress etc.

~Secondly im in titanium back up app and im in the backup/restore part of the app...i see all my apps and stuff listed but for the life of me, i cant see how to do a batch operation ie instead of backing each and every app one by one. Am i missing something??. Any help would be appreciated.

Finally when backing up, should i choose everything or certain things?? and also when im restoring my data back...again do i restore everything??

Cheers for any help
