British Man, 21, Faces Death in UAE

That's all well and good -but will you vouch for the dealers as well?

most are ok, some are ******s. just like life.

most pot dealers are just guys who smoke and end up getting stuff in for others. or maybe they grow for themselves and have some spare.

i always know where my stuff comes from and its not korean farmers like the press suggest

maybe we should just be allowed to grow our own? that would save loads of hassle.

Likewise, almost all I see these days appears to be grown in this country - we're getting quite good at it, too.

Obviously I can't say for sure, but everyone I buy off is a friend and I'd be amazed if they were packing Mac 10's and terrorising people.

That said, I have no idea what goes on further up the chain.

Apparently 90% is produced in the UK...however there is a growing trade in human traffic (specifically Asian children) to work the indoor farms illegally.

Unfortunately the Cannabis Trade has it's victims also, even if the drug itself is relatively harmless.

If cannabis trading was legalized it would fix most of those problems, which are going to exist in any case where something is illegal to grow and trade.

Imagine if alcohol production, trade and supply was all illegalized, crime rates would sky rocket because people would still want their alcohol.

Yup and this has been done to death but sadly those in power don't listen.

In addition to that, we're ploughing down forests at an alarming rate when we would be growing hemp, replenishing the atmosphere's oxygen/using up CO and providing a fast growing an easily replenishable supply of paper, fabric and soft building materials etc.

They may well have been bringing it in over sea in liverpool though - smuggling in is a job for the more veteran criminal IMO.

"Boys and girls - some as young as 13, many not older than 16, are forced to work as 'gardeners', trapped inside the buildings, 24 hours a day, tending and watering the plants behind blacked-out windows with no ventilation. Eating, sleeping and working under heat lamps and exposed daily to toxic chemicals, they run a constant risk of electrocution and fire. And all the time they face the violence, intimidation and extortion of gang members who are determined to wring everything out of them until their debts are paid off - if that day ever comes. "

odd. you need ventilation else you dont get enough co2 in there and end up with **** plants. and what toxic chemicals? plant nutrients? ive never seen poisonous ones. not says its BS just seems a bit weird to me.

its terrible to see stuff like this as a dad myself.

I do not disagree......I see no reason not to legalise and tax recreational drug use and production.
