starting to dislike the CQ stuff - it just accentuates all the problems with weapon balance and lag

I walk round a corner with a 7.62mm LMG and fully open up on someone 2 meters away - who while suffering multiple hit markers from my bullets manages to shoot you dead with a tiny 9mm pistol in 1 shot ?

Haha, well, it's not a fact :)

I would rate the AN-94 above the M16.

It totally depends on playstyle, the M16 is good for fast run and gun, but not great at engaging from distance.
 
that's another reason to love the AS-VAL, it's already been balanced so you won't rely on a gun which is OP only to have it crippled, I'm hoping they nerf the g36c a bit and maybe the ROF on the f2000 but that's not a huge concern AS-VAL still kicks generic butt :D

It is down to your play style, I personally find that that my best gun sometimes changes from day to day as my mood changes as I play. Some days I can't hit anything with a gun but the next it is like i'm using homing bullets.
 
Copying the Rival teams love of the AEK and find it pretty dam solid.

Heard a rumour that revive distance is shorter if you have colour blind mode on? Always had it selected myself recently, c.b.a. checking if it is true though thought to mention it.

Next week, we have a great treat for all Battlefield 3 players. Premium members will get double XP for an entire week, while non-Premium members get two and a half days of double XP goodness.

As always, double XP means your net gain for any round will be effectively doubled at the end of round. This goes for any map and any mode from the base game or any of our expansion packs, as long as you play on ranked servers.

The only gun I pretty much solemnly use for close quarters is the famas. Never used it up until CQ but it's godly at close range.
 
Do I need to grab the Close Quarters expansion then guys? Is it worthwhile? What are the changed in destruction, I read it is now HD? What was it before??
