Children at work?

So you're talking about women on maternity leaving coming in to the work place to show people the baby?

Most of the time, yes. But this one is 1-2 years old and she has been back at work for over a year.

probably why its annoying me more. She is meant to be working.

Where do you work? I've never been in a work place that allows parents to being their children in to work while they are meant to be working...

Is this a temporary thing or ongoing?

Thank god I work in an office with 2 blokes. My wife complains about women bringing their kids in, she avoids them like the plague!

damn some of the people in this thread are miserable idiots, who cares if someone brings their baby in, its not like it happens every day

If you work in a place that's it's considered bad "form" to be happy and enjoy work mates joy (be it children, achievements whatever) then consider yourself the problem.
Not them.

Moaning about someone not working whilst posting on internet forums *facepalm*

This happens at my work and just because I didn't coo over a baby that someone brought in at xmas, she said to a someone

"what's up with Pete, doesn't he like me or something?"

I just don't care about babies and don't want one shoved in my face unless it's medium rare in a bun.

I took my daughter into work, it's not just women that start cooing and crowding!

I can understand that somewhat, a kid around 5+ can be endearing and cute but for me babies are just dwarf old people with slightly less soiling themselves.

I don't call having too watch a group of people lying about the attractiveness of someone else's baby a joyous event.

They all look the same in the first 6 months and they are not "cute", they are wrinkly pink things which spend all day crying or p***ing/sh**ing themselves.

Babies aren't special or magical, yours maybe to YOU the parent but to everyone else it's just another mouth for society to feed.
