How much do you spend on food at work ?

I work 10 hour shifts and rarely eat at work, I have a physical job but I find eating at work makes me want to slow down.

Used to spend as much as £20 a day before, but now £0.

Not much, make a stew/chili/curry/soup/pasta bake/salad to take to work, made with a load of veggies.

All snacks and drinks at work are free, including fruit.

Lunch is free on Fridays, an typically 1 day a week te mop any provides pizza.

Total ost about 6 quid a week, fr my main meal of he day.

I Used to spend 5-10 pounds a day on all sorts of rubbish. When I wrote down how much I spent in a month it was a ridiculously high amount! I take my own lunch now and have a cafetiere to make my own coffee instead of buying expensive cappuccinos from my work canteen. Saved a ton of money to buy more goodies for my rig :D

I would like to take home made meals and sometimes I do when my mum cooks something. Other than that I just eat from subway (£3-£5 per day) or get a sandwich (£2).

What sort of stuffs do you take in?

I spend about £10 a week on lunch as we have a subsidised canteen. I used to make and bring my own lunch to work before I got lazy :o

sesame covered crisp breads, squeezey cheese & chives, packet of crisps and a snickers mostly, oh and a flask of T

No wonder it only costs you £5-6 a week :o
I used to survive on 7 slices of crisp breads + philly cheese daily... then realised I wasn't getting enough nutrition or energy from it and now having fresh soup and panini from work instead which costs around £2 a day.

Does me and the missus fine, feel a lot better from cutting normal bread out from our diets and i cook from fresh every night for our main meals + saves a lot of time, just throw them in my bag and thats it :)

probably about £5

I take lunch in from home, fruit etc and then most fridays we have "fat fridays" and get a treat.

It soon adds up if you by each day, I rekon my parts manager spends around £5 per day

for those that have posted here saying they go all day/night without food, have you actually tried eating more regularly for a week or so ?

I used to go for hours without food but eventually realised i feel much better if i eat 'normally'
maybe it's a gettinf older thing, you need more regular meals/snacks as you get older ?

Nothing, I always make my own and I will say this - it will save you a fortune :)

Spend that saved £££ on games or components instead of overpriced junk "food" @ work :D

As an example one of my buds @ work spends about £3 on a baguette, crisps and an oatmeal bar. That totals to:

£15/week
£60/month
£720/year

And I know hes kinda hard up on cash but he admitted he CBA to make his own stuff. I dont say anymore as to each his/her own. What I will say is that our cafeteria is laughing all the way to the bank.
