The keen eyes on NeoGAF have spotted what looks to be a pretty good summer sale on PC games starting this Sunday... on Amazon. That's right, Amazon. While we wait for the inevitable Steam Summer Sale to begin, that many assumed would be in full effect starting today, Amazon has decided to beat Steam to the punch with their own batch of discounted PC games starting on July 1st.

Hmmm, a copy of Football Manager 2012 for a fiver would do me. Not seen too much other stuff on Steam that I'd buy, unless there was some real bargain pricing!
 
If i bought a Steam tied game off the Amazon usa site which is a download code would it still not work for me? i.e just add the key to Steam and order with my card like i would on the uk site?
 
NBA 2k12 for ~£6 is nice. 75% cheaper than what Steam are asking for. I'm a real sucker for sports games. Really want a UFC game on PC :(
 
I'm creating a Steam account for my little sister as she just got a laptop for her birthday. So I hope a lot of indie games go cheap.

At the moment I can think of:

The Oddbox
Plants vs Zombies
Crayon Physics Deluxe
 
I nabbed the 2k Mega pack for the wee lad

and for myself

Civ IV Complete collection
Civ V GOTY
Borderlands

now lets see wot steam has tomorrow :)
 
My initial gut feeling was that the 2K pack isn't that great compared to the publisher packs you normally get on Steam but I suppose for people without any of those games it isn't bad.
