Wow, thats not much body fat at all. Good work there. What is your protein/carb/calorie/fat intake?

I think I'm sitting on the 20-30% region but thats a wild guess though. It's because I don't do enough CV though.

Today I had a very rushed Shoulder+Legs workout because I had a previous engagement at 7ish today (and I was still very late!). I had to miss some leg work out sadly.

Ended up doing the following:

DB Shoulder press: 16kgx8, 20kgx8, 20kgx8;
DB combined front and side raises: 8kgx8, 5kgx8, 5kgx8;
Plate shrugs, pinch grips: 30kgx8, 40kgx8, 50kgx8;

BB Squats: 80kgx5, 90kgx5, 110kgx5, 130kgx5, 140kgx5;
BB Calf raises: 80kgx5, 90kgx5, 110kgx5, 110kgx5, 110kgx5
BB SLDLs: 100kgx5x5
Seated Calf extensions: 30kgx5x5

I struggled with the 140kg Squats, calf raises and the sldls. I should have got a video of my form as I don't think I went low enough on the squats.

SLDLs were definitely too heavy for me, I forgot to use my chalk and I couldn't be bothered to go back to my locker to get it, so the last two sets of 5 ended up stopping after 3, short pause before doing the last two reps.

Overall, not happy about the workout, but it's that or nothing I guess and I almost did no gym work today because I didn't really feel inclined mentally. I almost stayed in bed.
Before checking my car tyres, fluid levels and going to the gym.

Still, I get Monday off before resuming again between Tuesday-Saturday, and I don't think combining shoulders and legs is too bad - it means I can do climbing one day and gym for 3 days a week with a Back & Biceps; Chest & Triceps; Shoulders & Legs split.

I don't know if I'll make the climbing wall this week, I might do some cycle riding instead.

and am now doing up to 3hours a day plus 1hour gym time, so 4 hours total training.

Don't see why not if I had to try I could easily do 3 hours each day. I do get time during work to go, and could also go during my lunch break.

That's not unreasonable skill. A touch much if more than 5/7 but not that excessive won't keep excess muscle though

I'm not saying it's not possible. I'm saying it's pointless.

Week 3 - Squats:

82.5x5
95x3
105x8 - I did like Morba suggested and just took a breath to compose myself and kept going.

Assistance:
Calf Raises
RDL

On my last week of cutting. Weighed in at 74.2kg this morning and honestly didn't recognise myself:

The pictures take away from the effect some what I feel. Don't worry, these will be the last pictures until next week! Basically I'm on a deplete week now, so the only carbs I'm having is from my morning oats, and my now halved post-workout shake.

Steeds reckons I'll be 71 - 72kg by the time this week is over, which is a scary thought. Maybe even as low as 70kg considering I was so low this morning! =)

Looking good MoNkeE how long have you been on your cut for now, what was your starting weight?

Your gonna look absolutely shredded at the end of the week!

Been cutting since the start of the year, but only got taken under Steedie's wing to do it properly for the last 3 months or so I think. I've gone from circa 83kg down to 74kg-ish so far and visibly, it's made the world of difference.

Refeed with Mr Steeds is on Saturday, so Monday's pictures should look light but full :)

It's unnecessary though.

Care to elaborate?

Monkee for instance would not be where he is at this point in time if he was not doing cardio along side his workout.

He COULD have got there, but it would have taken god knows how much longer :)

3 hours a day of cardio is a total waste of time other then it helps you keep fit.

also to stop unnessecary muscle loss (especially for someone who wants to compete on a BB stage) you would have to eat vast amounts of food to counter the potential burn from the cardio.

There is nothing wrong with doing 2x 30 mins a day to help keep you cv fit but 3 hours + 1 hour weights a day is boarding on the extreme

Basically probably means he's doing 3 hours of cardio to offset his 3,000 cal diet :p If he dropped calories, he wouldn't have to do 3 hours of cardio. Personal choice - if he likes eating and doesn't have anything else ever to do in his life then why not. Personally I like having my evenings to shoot nazis, blow up enemy tanks and save the world.

Oh, and play computer games :)

Well yes, 3 hours is excessive unless you are purely after the CV aspect. I was just after a bit more of an opinion than 'it's unncessary' :p

Firstly, MonKeE - looking fantastic mate. Huge difference to where you was 6 months ago, fair play as i know how hard it is to cut for such a long time. Kudos to you. What is the aim?

Agree - 3hrs very very, slow would burn up the fat and be relatively easy into eating into muscle. But yes, excessive. Some BCAA and 20mins every morning of hard, graft will be equal to this e.g. HiiT really pushing yourself.

I am on a lean mass diet (started today) smashing out 20 minutes of HiiT on empty stomach apart from fat burners then home to smash this into me.

Thanks Kai, really appreciate it. Yeah you really do hit so many downers whilst doing this it does affect your mental well being from time to time. But then seeing myself in the mirror this morning (whilst on the finishing stretch) makes it all feel worth while!

There is no goal, just to get as lean as I can by the 7th :) Then start my bulking season!

Will take some pics tonight or something of myself, see if much has changed over the month, I know i've lost weight, just depends if it's visible or not
