Trouble is Demon Hunter was fun until level 60 and both my mate and girlfriend have level 60 wizards which are hopeless on inferno without millions worth of gear :/ Maybe a Witch Doctor?

If your getting face rolled by certain elites with a DH, expect to be face rolled by every elite in Act 3 as a WD, we need substantially more gear compared to DH's to even have a chance.

WD's looked fun and I was considering playing one through normal too, frogs and spiders leaping about all over the place. Pretty sure this will be my plan of action now, level up alts through each difficulty level while co-oping and spend the money on the Monk till its geared up enough. While I can get though act 1 Inferno with no problems, it's not too much fun, and spending a little money upgrading the alts every 5-10 levels isn't exactly expensive in comparison.

Im getting my arse kicked (Im a DH) on act 2.... not looking forward to act 3, if i havent uninstalled it before that..... its unplayable!

I was late to the party flipping armour sets. My first experiments pre 1.03 patch were great. Buying at 5>30k and flipping for 60k>500k profit. Then 1.03 patch hit and I now have high resist armour sets with 100+dex unable to shift for 100k :/

I have also noticed the huge change in price of decent armor with main stat+vit+all res with iLevels 60-62. Many items that were valued few hundred k pre patch arent even worth selling because there are just too many similar items with <100k price. Still, the top end items sell for very good prices.

At the moment it seems that the best price range of items for flipping is around 1m (well at least for me). Why 1m? Firstly, many buyers, enabling fast sales. Secondly, items are cheap enough that quite many people just throw them into AH without caring about the actual price. Lastly, the amount of items is big enough that many people wont bother browsing though all items and won't really care about items without a buyout. I usually buy items that have no buyout for 100-250k and then sell them for 850-950k to ensure quick sale. Of course, I also regularly search through many different sets of items and stats to find good bargains with buyout.

I recorded a vid of my Double Tornado Barb tearing around Inferno Act 3, starting in Keep Depths level 2 and ending at killing Ghom killing 7 elite packs on the way, thought you guys might be interested :)

you cant post an awesome video like that without telling us your build + items

Damage is fine, hp is ok. Resist you want 800min and there will be certain packs that kick your bum!

Was playing through Act 2 with someone I met playing public mode Act I. We killed every elite we had faced until one elite when searching for Khulls blood.

Spider with Invulnerable minions, fast, arcane, waller. Was impossible to kill :/

Aye Spiders do that on Act 2. Some idiot at Blizzard seems to think it makes perfect sense for Spiderlings to be faster than you and be one of the hardest hitting enemies on act 2 with a crazy fast attack speed. When my Barb went through act 2 the only champ I didn't even bother trying to kill was a Spiderling.

No way I am ever spending 35+ million on a weapon. The Witch Doctor dagger I found with 1200dps I sold for 20 million. Probably could have pushed for more but I was happy with that.

Then I go to the AH to look for a nice upgrade for my monk and just laugh at the pathetic prices for anything over 900dps. Hopefully none of them sell and the market goes back to reasonable prices because there surely is not enough players in the game with 60 million gold etc to buy a 900dps weapon for that kind of money.

As for your sword, nice vit and cool to have additional dex but it doesn't even have a socket to put a gem with crit damage/loh. If you find a mug willing to pay that for it without a socket then good luck to you :D Happy Days.

Thing is, those stats are absolutely epic. With 200 str, 300 vit and 100+ dex for dodge and int for all res, you would have a pretty damn good 1H weapon for a Shield or dual wield barb. Or you could have 1 beasty templar.

60 DH will struggle against any elite that it can't outrun, or keep at a distance before his Discipline runs out, or kill before either of the above happens obviously.

My melee wizard is just useless in act 2 against certain elites. With Frost Nova, regular enemies aren't even a threat as I can kill them before they unfreeze and if they do, I always have Diamond Skin. But elites? I had significantly higher armour/res than my Barb did going through act 2 but I can only actually kill the weaker hitting ones. Any elite that hits hard with a good move speed (Spiderlings, Accursed or melee Serpents) are unkillable for me.

I am enjoying my Witch Doctor (up to Act 1 Hell) but I get the feeling she is very fragile later on.

You can vaguely read the stats at the end of the video. 7k armour, 1k resistances, 63k dps, 1000 LoH, 48% crit chance and 300% crit damage. Clearly using gear that cost many many millions (or pounds) to achieve those sort of stats.

Build is interesting, I'd wondered if that sort of thing was possible (infinite fury for WotB) but without the high crit chance your fury gain is reduced and without the high LoH you simply couldn't survive Act 3. Looks like a very gear dependant build.

Thanks :D

This is the build I'm using, taken from the topic on the official forums here but using Leap instead of Overpower.

I tried to show my gear in the vid but the quality didn't turn out too well.. Here are my stats:

Damage: 52k (62k buffed, 85k with WOTB)
HP: 41K
Armour: 6k (7k buffed)
All Res: 540 (800 buffed)
Attack Spd: 1.66
LoH: 1057
Crit Chance: 46% (49% buffed)
Crit Damage: 388%
Str: 1451
Vit: 940

It is quite a gear dependent build but it's affordable for most. The guy who made the post about it originally put up a guide showing how to gear up for Act 3 for 880k, albeit with a fair bit less dps than me. Link.

Barb help

Could any Barbs take a quick look over my stats and recommend where I should be heading gear wise next? I have act 3 inferno unlocked since pre 1.0.3 but have just been farming act 1 out since then to try and improve my gear (with not much luck). Stats are with warcry & enchantress.

Thanks!

thanks for that, was just having a look on the AH, those weapons are gosh darn pricey! didnt get to check the rings + armour as the AH went down.

Interesting build and refreshing to see stuff get killed so quickly, but i dont think i would be able to afford to replicate it. Would you mind posting screen shots of your items when you have time? would be very interested to see where you got the life on hit and crit stuff etc cheers

After watching your vid I think i'm going to try this out in act 1 with my current gear and see how I get on :) Thanks!

Really nice video, just wow at the speed you went through there :)

I haven't really started a barb yet only up to level 7. Was there an ability that made enemies take damage just by being close to you?

I think you have quite nice gear. Decent amount of resistances. Very good amount of armor. You don't need that much life. Around 50k should be easily enough. Ditch those flawless squares and buy perfect squares instead, they only cost like 30k ea. More dps would be useful and I think you should focus on that for a moment.

With 3 million in the bank you could easily upgrade to Radiant Square or even Star, not Perfect Squares.

You could really do with more dps. Thats about all there is to say. Armour/Res is high, maybe excessively so, life is definitely excessively high. You can easily afford to lose some life and a little armour/res if it means doubling your dps.
