And everytime you've said you'll "stick to branded stuff" (what does that even mean btw? Everything is branded) you've been told that the brands you have chosen are a waste of money average protein with fancy packaging designed to lure in the suggestible types
Whatever floats your boat, but it's a bit daft (imo) to be bragging about your latest delivery of stuff that you've been told is a waste of money![]()
Reflex :X
Well known to use the cheapest source of protein (crushed up animal bone cartilage etc) in their products. Horrible supplement company, ridiculous prices for inferior quality
I just stick to Myprotein for protein as it's the best value. And then CNP Pro Recover for my post workout
And they're the only supps I use
But if I did have to get more, then I suggested some brands above, ON, USN or CNP
What "fillers" are we talking about here?If you mean protein content please tell me how you know your expensive branded stuff has a more reliable protein content than MP? For all you know it could be lower.
In reality we don't know the protein content for any protein is accurate because there is no third party lab testing them all.
Either way its twice as expensive as MP stuff and i'm sure the flavoured ones will taste no difference.
Problem with your analogy is that ingredients need to be listed for food. So if whey was bulked out if would be listed. Most reputable suppliers of supplements have them tested and certified against what they are advertising.
You priced up vs true whey for some reason. I was comparing to impact which is half the price even for flavoured.see above £3.50 difference hardly double?? -
Agree, to certain extent but certain products i and most people on this forum will not know what every single listing in the product list does in that particular product (also does it have scientic research behind it to be benefical) I know companies like Reflex, ON, say they spent millions on R&D etc (may not be true) but i fail seeing people like myprotein having the funds to handle this sort of development. With that in mind do they put ingredients in there 1. because it's cheaper alternative or 2. it there to fill the product out? 3. Simlply mimic the bigger companies based on ingredients list?
Preferentially selected protein blend (Whey Protein (Ultra filtered Whey Protein Concentrate, Cross Flow Micro Filtered Whey Protein Isolate), Muscle Drive (Peptide Bonded Glutamine (derived from wheat protein) Hydrolysed Whey Protein (degree of hydrolysis 30%), Milk Protein, Natural Colouring (Alkalized Cocoa Powder), Thickener (Carboxymethyl Cellulose), Emulsifier (Soya Lecithin), Flavouring, Digezyme Enzyme Complex (Amylase, Protease, Cellulase, Lactase, Lipase), Artificial Sweeteners (Acesulfame K, Sucralose), Lactospore Probiotics (Bacillus Coagulans).
Undenatured Whey Protein Concentrate
Just compare the ingredients of reflex instant whey delux (£41)
With unflavoured whey (£26)
And lactase? Is this a shake for the lactose intolerant?![]()
