So even though it says it's used 40% battery, it actually hasn't? That's strange. Why is my battery getting drained so badly then? It's on like 80% already. Been off charge for like 2 hours.

I don't know, it's likely something else unless you've got a really bad signal and it's struggling to get one (possible, but it's almost certainly the reporting bug).

You can use ES, enable root features. I don't know about a flashable version. I use Root Explorer for everything like this.
 
Still lots of redraws with apex here, Just tried the services.jar fix but it says its already been done

Running Omega 7.0, guess its an apex problem and waiting on them for an update
 
I get the redraw issue and I've not rooted and using the stock Samsung launcher.

Lots of the time it takes about a second to redraw widgets and such, and I've had it a few times now where the entire background goes totally black for about 5 seconds till it is redrawn.

I've had it once where it didn't redraw after a minute, I went to bed and it had fixed itself by the time I woke up.

On a different note - how does the phone/drivers work with OSX? Will I be able to plug the phone in via USB and drag and drop like I do now?

I no longer carry or use my 64GB iTouch (latest revision) due to the S3 :)

I'm only keeping it as a backup and to use when on holiday as I won't want my phone around the pool/left in my bag when I go for a swim.
 
Finally got the S3 in stock over here in the States :)
So far I love it! What has surprised me the most is the battery life, was playing with it for ages yesterday and it barely dropped!

So, rather than me going through hundreds of pages, are there any staple fixes/adjustments I should be looking in to?

Ordered a few accessories late last night :)
 
Just received my Galaxy SIII and am waiting for my microSIM to be activated by O2. Any tips for applications or general settings? I'm about to crawl through and configure it to my liking. :)

I presume that you got the S4/adreno 225 version with 2GB of RAM since you're in the USA :p

Would be good to see some screenshots of battery screens i.e. the screen on time, battery usage chart and the graph, when you hit 15% or lower to see how it compares to the exynos quad GS 3 :)

In theory it should be better, so expecting some outstanding battery life.
 
Yep, got the Sprint version over here, which has the 2GB of RAM.
I'll post up some pics later today of battery usage :)

Speculation that Samsung are putting 2GB in all newer S3's... It's on the same link I put a few posts back about Q4 Jellybean. Probably BS though.
 
Just got the USB OTG cable today, this phone just keeps on getting better and better, I love the ability to connect external USB devices especially usb keys/drives. SO USEFUL!!
