I know quite a few here use iGoogle and as part of Google's ever changing world of "fun times" they've decided to axe iGoogle which I've been using since it went live and initially I wasn't too pleased about this.
Google Blog details the other services being canned as well.
I liked my iGoogle. being able to skim read all current affairs and tech bits on one page was appealing because it was there anywhere I was able to get to a browser.
There are other alternatives like netvibes but none of them are as integrated with other Google services so you'd still need 2 tabs open to get the full Google experience from the main tab going that route.
Until I found Google Reader... Realised all my "Gadgets" in iGoogle were perfectly fitting for Reader and you can simply add a URL and it auto subscribes the feed for you too.
So yeah, bummer that iGoogle users are being told to do one but on the plus side, Reader seems rather excellent and the Smartphone app syns perfectly too
