ACTA rejected by European Union vote.

Whilst I applaud the EU for finally getting something right for a change, there will be a few 'changes' to the bill, different words/phrases here and there which do exactly what the original draft states but it'll sound softer or attached to the back of another bill then it'll be re-proposed and go through practically un-challenged.

Yes pretty much.

The more I see the EU stick it to US corporate interests the more I think that this whole economic collapse is simply economic warfare and the US trying to destroy the EU, if Europe was not united most countries within it would have simply rolled over and signed these into law.

That's pretty much the whole point of the EU. To allow small countries to have the power of large countries. The UK isn't as big as we think we are without the EU, it's one of the reasons Scottish people would be really silly to vote for independence. Small countries just end up states of large countries whether they realise it or not.
