Quick question about insurance on the Galaxy S III, what are people paying monthly for the insurance ??
Im have always been with O2, previously paying £6 per month insurance, now since the upgrade from HTC Desire HD to the Samsung Galaxy III they want to hike up the insurance cost too, so now the insurance is £10.00 as apposed to £6.00, small change i know, but i just don't understand the hike, same can be said for any insurance i guess....
I was informed that the Galaxy III is a premium phone, but so was my HTC DHD 18 months ago, the insurance was only £6.00
CPW also want to charge £10.00 per month, what is everyone else paying on the Galaxy III per month for insurance just as a comparison ?
The new update looks good from what I'm reading.
apart from the brightness slider what else is new?
Question I've been asked. Can you be rooted and still receive and install OTA updates?
I've always used custom ROMS when rooted so I don't know about this.
Reports for new firmware include:
Redraw issue fixed
No separate browser brightness
New clock widget
Brightness in notification area
Possibly more....
I believe so, but it will remove root.
Will flash this tonight with Odin. Cant get Odin to work at work, anyway to flash the update using recovery?

Might sound daft but does my phone have to be unlocked to install the new stockrom? currently locked to THREE.
£6 w/ £25 excess for Orange Care. They have higher tiers but only for the iPhone I think.
Do you have a Plus/Premium/Whatever bank account? Most come with decent phone and travel insurance these days and cost the same or less than phone insurance alone. If Orange Care wasn't so good (no fuss, next day replacements, even delivered on a Sunday) that's what I'd probably do.
Well even though mine got the OTA update it fails to install.
