This is exactly where I am at the moment. I can cruise through act one with only the odd stubborn elite giving me any hassle but act 2 is still too hard :(

It doesn't get any easier going into act 3. I'm in the same position, act 2 I can complete quite comfortably but act 3 I just get torn to pieces by the first champ pack I come across.

What ?? You guys still have problems in act 1/2 ??
My room mate finished act 1 with no problem same day he dinged 60.
He had vendor gear set from me 19k dps 42k hp like 100 resists on hes WD. EZ mode.

My new weapon i got 2 days ago for 18mil gold :). Had some lucky drops in last 2 days and i was back at 20 mil this morning after buying 4mil worth of pants. Good days :)

I have over 310 hours played now. And grinding is still Fun. More fun than doing act 3 for sure :D
sorry for big SS tho :(

Going my how many legendary items you have in your stash and on yourself, your more than a little lucky, I've seen 6 Legendaries total with nearly 350 hours played.

I've had 1 drop in total that's been worth anything significant.

I think its a safer bet to say he has done nothing but farm endlessly on his Wizard since he began, hence the only other 2 characters he has being lvl5 and lvl1, probably mules. And that his opinion of 'vendor trash' is probably significantly better than most.

got a lvl34 Legendary Smithing Recipe earlier for Legendary Gloves, Mats arent that terrible either, might see if i can make a few pairs and flog em cheap on RMAH or something lol, was running NM Act1 on my Monk when it dropped fwiw

Yey finally got my first Legendary drop. Set item too, worth anything?

34% magic find seems quite high

I wouldn't say salvage it, if anyones making an MF set for their WD, that weapons the only one that has upto 35 MF on it.

Ah, never really looked into MF gear. Didn't realise 34 was so rare/high on a weapon, so yeah guess it would be worth saving. Hell could even be worth something. But that depends on how Blizzard change MF (if they do) to do something about gear swapping before a kill. The dps would be far too low to use as an MF weapon in that situation.

Looking for an upgraded belt earlier, cheapest I can find is 30 million gold!... 30 million........

Surely that just means your belt is far too good :p

My belt isnt bad by any means.

120 Dex
67 Vit
49 Lightening Resistance
12% Life
284 Armour

But I'm looking for something with 150+ Dex, 150+ Vit and Res and those belts are all well over 30 million, unfortunately for me its also one of the 2 items I need to replace to increase my DPS and Mitigation.

Everything else is about as good as I need for farming act3+ inferno.

Really loosing interest in this game. Bored of easily farming Act 1 over and over. If I try Act 2 its a wipe fest. Only way to progress is to buy gear which because of the high demand is all way overpriced.

I guess I said this game will see me though to Guild Wars 2 so its got me almost there. I guess I will revisit once prices become more sensible and legendary items are actually better than your average blue item which I think is patch 1.1.

I realised I was being an idiot and was using Energy Tap instead of Prismatic Armour. Changed and Act 2, with the exception of the odd elite pack, was a breeze with the extra res/armour. Did die at Belial on the first attempt but a split second after death either my hydra or blizzard did the job for me. Satisfaction!

Is that really a surprise? Str/Vit/Res is either more common or just not bought as much. And with Dex, you won't get away with paying nothing extra for unwanted resistances either on top tier gear because everyone knows One With Everything is a staple monk skill. You can't really expect to get 150+ on 2 high value stats and ideal resistances with lots of armour for cheap. Sounds like quite a rare find on top of being a highly desired item for any monk.

My issue isn't with the item being "rare" so expensive, its that prices are so incredibly high that it is nigh on impossible to obtain that amount of gold without extreme luck or handing over cold hard cash.

Of the 20+ friends who were online 2-3 weeks after release, there's now maybe 3-4 on a good night, all of them have quit for one reason or another, but it all boils down to one thing.

Without progression there's no fun. Did 2 and half complete runs of ACT2 today, had 1 item worth selling, sold for 125,000 gold. Bad luck? maybe, flawed game? Definitely. How does one afford the 10's of millions for single upgrades if that's all you get for 6-7 hours work.
