are there any good notification tone packages available anywhere ? the default ones are aweful and i could only actually hear "whistle" so have to use that for every thing :(
 
Wanamlite LFB here, very smooth just the way I like it!

The quick panel toggles customisation and long press function is the real bonus.
 
Man, the auto brightness setting is next to useless..... Who thought that actually not being able to see anything at anytime was a good idea?
 
700mb is like not even a minute to download :p

The problem is these devhosts/public hosts devs use which, unless you buy tokens, max out at 100-200KB/s!!
 
Samsung's SMS app is rather excellent for me, minimal, pretty and functional. The fact that the notification bar can be opened on the lockscreen means messages can be viewed without having to swipe to unlock first. I dislike popup windows as it's easy to accidentally close them or hit something else while fumbling in the pocket/bag etc.

Keeping an eye on this SMS app, it is very good, however, very limited in features, shame the developer doesn't seem to be very active as it has a lot of potential!

Also the ex-dialer app developer is apparently working on an SMS app, so that should be rather excellent as well, minimal, fast/smooth, themes and only the essential features :)


I love the stock sense SMS app, however, hate the white background!
 
Black themed with coloured bubbles and adjustable text size, yeah it's fine looking as far as SMS apps go.
 
I'm with Robbie. I ditched Handcent when I moved to the S3. I like using stock where possible as I feel it's less bloat that way.

EDIT:

I like google talk, but have made myself "invisible" otherwise I just get bombarded non stop by a "friend", suppose I should really just block him ¬_¬
