Yeah the same console gamers begging for a new console announcement for a couple of years now, they sure drive the market buying the same rehashed **** every year. It must be so sad to be at the mercy of some major corporation... OK MS and Sony drive the mainstream market of corridor shooters and 10 hour throw away experiences, good for them! PC gaming has tons of exclusives anyway.
I'm so sick of this whole pc gamers vs console gamers debacle.
The keyword is gamers - doesn't matter how you get your gaming fix, why should anyone else care what I game on and vice versa?
I game on my pc, my ps3, my 360, my Wii, my damn mobile phone and I'm happy with them all. My personal happiness is more important to me than what self important pc gamers think I should be gaming on.
As far as I'm aware the console market is huge and makes a lot more money for publishers than giving games away in sales. Although I don't really feel like looking for sources just like you haven't. However, I won't pass it off as being truth, just my opinion.

Planetside 2 is PC exclusive, that is literally all that matters to me. PC gaming is and always will be the number 1 platform for gaming for a few important reasons.
1. Communities hang around MUCH longer on PC than their console counterparts. You can load up a 10 year old game on PC and still find plenty of players with an established community.
2. Mods, Mods, MODS! Playing Just Cause 2 multiplayer over the weekend confirmed why PC is the best platform, it was absolutely hilarious and would NEVER happen on console. I was on a server with 400 other people just blowing **** up.
3. Graphics. I need high frame rates in my games and with PC aslong as I am willing to fork out the cash, I can have those high frame rates. With consoles you are stuck with what the developer could be assed doing.
Those are the 3 important things to me but there are many more reasons.

I'm not being ignorant, I said it was a fairly niche hobby (maybe less so elsewhere but most definitely in the UK) Walk down your local highstreet and ask how many people know what esports is and who watches it.

you are the console gamer you dont own any recent ones? go check. When I was playing uncharted 2 a couple of months after release there were about 20k people online. Thats less than the Dayz mod lol.
So many that it is over $400 million behind consoles. At least console gamers HAVE a market. At every big release, the first thing out of PC gamers keyboards is "crappy console port". And you say consolers are irrelevent, when its the PC games that dont get the attention they deserve.
Its not fair, its not right. But to say consoles are irrelevent is elitist, butthurt fanboi-ism.

Neither of those are console or PC.
Obviously, I get your point, Halo 3 60 FPS, compromises to get the frame rate etc, gears of war would be the eyecandy and 30 FPSE.

I like both but one being better than the other? all dpends on your opinion, i now prefer console gaming as it's much "fairer" and doesnt require £400+ throwing at it every 2 years.
I quit PC gaming a while back because of cheat and people with better PC's using it to there advantage(who wouldn't).
Ive just built a pc and will see how it goes but i still think ill be on my console more than PC. the thing that annoys me with Pc gaming again is how the publishers are acting as if piracy or second hand game sales are killing them, which is utter rubbish. if the PC market is as reads in the post consoles 2nd hand market is fine why cant a bigger PC market.

No I don't have either of those games.
Yeah pc gamers love to whine so what? we are not mindless sheep. I'm so tired at playing major releases at 1600p, 60fps and full settings. Console gamers on the other hand enjoy 20-30 fps and sub hd resolutions. man it sucks to be a pc gamer with all those crappy ports that look and play much better!
Absolutely right. In fact the reason I actually bought my first console (the 360) and stopped PC gaming as much (just my RTS's and other exclusives) was a 'if you can't beat them, join them' move. Most new games actually run better on consoles because they're optimised for that platform.
There are exceptions to every rule and this one is no different, but in general it's how things are nowadays.
Most of the people I know (35-45 age group, I'm sure younger people are different) have consoles and the only gaming they do on a PC is Farmville and other facebook games. This also means that for me to get a good online experience with mates, I need a console, which makes consoles very relevant to me.

What does Uncharted 2 have to do with anything? It wasn't a game people bought or played primarily for the multiplayer.

so whats the most popular exclusive on the ps3 with the biggest online community? I can try to find some numbers... oh wait its uncharted 3! I dont own the game though so i cant check. think before you post.
your post was all about personal preference and experience and I responded in the same way. nothing to discuss I'm afraid. I own all consoles as well you're not special. I can see whats clearly better though.
