***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Worth noting that if you use ES File Explorer then the remote feature allowing you to FTP onto the phone to manage files via PC can be used in conjunction with FireFTP for Firefox as that has a Sync feature so you can do full incremental backups safely since FireFTP now supports files larger than 4GB.

Couple that with a 150Mbps WiFi connection and you're laughing as far as transfers go for syncing!

Go and have a play with one, soon you'll realise it is worth it...:D

Not for tom_D it isn't! :p

The Gs 2 thread was plagued for pages and pages about issues, which are perfectly normal for android smartphones :p And then the same was done for his first 3 iphone 4s's IIRC :p :D

SyncMe Wireless is much easier and allows schedules etc... IMHO of course :)

Question to those whom don't keep their phone in a case all the time. Has it got scratches on the back?

I didn't have my phone in a case for the first week and I noticed theres some very light hairline scratches.

Yes, I am very anal. (Yes I did just use the word anal.)

I am a perfectionist. I notice faults down to every little detail. This makes owning technology not always a pleasant experience as it drives me MENTAL!

Well... I just ordered an S3 and it'll hopefully be here tomorrow. On Three, £34 P/M.

I know the feeling, I spent so long deciding between an S2 and iPhone that I'll be getting the S3 rather soon.

I had little play with a blue one today and it's rather sexual:)

*awaits for the next 5+ pages of this thread to be questions by Tom_D asking if certain things are "normal"/suppose to happen*

Have fun GS 3 owners!

Yes, be warned. This man speaketh the truth.

To get back on topic though, I do have an iPhone 4s at the moment. I like it, however it just started to feel a bit plain and I loved the look of the S3.

I don't want to mess with ROM's and stuff, is the phone just as good with stock firmware?

Cheers

Can anyone confirm whether the S3 on Orange panther extra 36 (Unlimited minutes & texts, 1gb data) is available in-store?

There is no need to root and flash custom ROMs unless you want to customize the themes/colour of the UI, icons, add a few tweaks.

You get great battery life, great speed and smoothness along with loads of features from the GS 3 just "out of the box"

I've just done exactly what you are about to do! My 4s was getting a little restrictive compared to what I'm used to and so far I'm very glad I jumped!

Things like the following make me very happy which either can't be done or are a lot more difficult with apple -

Bluetooth contacts/pictures/videos/music
Connect to a tv with ease (Ideal for when we have bad weather as tvcatchup is our only option if its windy/raining :( )
Free diagnostic software for car which goes with cheap bluetooth adapter!

I can't think of more right now but thats for starters. I love my GS3 and thanks to Robbo and Nexus for the help with it :)
