Sprinters usually go for thinly soled shoes. It's the long distance folk that want bounce. :p

But yeah.. I'd want something to absorb the jarring.

Been doing them again for a few weeks (same reason I had to stop them a few years ago). I noticed it hurt a lot more last week and seems like the pain has carried over when I tried them again this morning.[/QUOTE

No squatting is not an option I say! It's Only a little uncomfortable, hopefully more mobility will help it out, I'll foucus on that area more.

He tried Wendler and died.

cheeky sod! i didnt die on wendler, my +set for bench in week 3 was just not where i wanted it to be and i had a feeling my OHP was going to fall behind as well, i had my reservations that i wasnt ready for the program so scrapped it.

+ i am not a robot pretending to be human! or a freaky mutant lol

Don't worry, I'm dreading my OHP attempt too! Although Im enjoying the programme as a whole.

Is it not best to go to a specialised store to get running shoes?

Get a decent fit for your feet and you can feel how the shoes fit when going around the store.

Maybe for long distance runners. I'm only planning to use them for 20 minutes of running on the treadmill 4 times a week.

Sorry but I'd agree with Nightmare - 20 minutes four times a week is an hour and twenty minutes of high impact usage! Remember that old adage "buy cheap, buy twice"? Well, if your knees are hurting in a few weeks time........ :p

Not only knees, my left ankle always gets sore if I run.
Although now I can't really run anyway haha.

When I did, I regretted just ordering some nike running shoes online.

It's actually about 6-7 minutes of actual running. It's also on maximum incline to lessen knee impact.
