Asus Maximus V Formula Preview/ Results/ everything Thread!!!

Personally Im considering swapping to it when it comes out (depends on how much cash I have etc) but mainly to make my PC look asthetically pleasing (red and black build now) but also because the Asrock UEFI BIOS isn't explained too well which disappointed me :(

im looking at doing the same ollie... i got the z68 fatality atm but i REALLY like the ROG boards.. i miss my nforce 790i :( stupid phase change unit borked it when coolent pipe split! DERP!

Aw noes :(. Oh zx mate could you have a look at the stuff Ima try to get for my loop for me? Im pretty sure its all fine but wanna make sure :p Im going to read up on what this mother board has to offer fully and learn more about the phase stuff etc. :p

Tbh im sick and tired of waiting for this board

been putting off my build since mid may when it was meant to be released its now July and there so no sign of this board in the UK or europe
no preorder or anything so im guessing its still going to be a while yet before we get our hands on it

apart from aesthetics and a nice red and black UEFI color scheme will this board offer an real benefits over run of the mill Z77 boards like the P8Z77-V Deluxe

quick question again

can I do raid 0 with 4 ssds on the Asmedia sata 6gb connections

i dont think you can

it seems you can only configure the Asmedia ports to enabled or disabled nothing else

not even pick between ahci or ide

Cheers for that thought as much will need to just buy a raid controller card

Well still no sign of this board and on that note I've now made the strategic decision for my rendering/gaming rig to by-pass Ivybridge with all it's heat woes and spend extra I've saved whilst waiting on an R4E and 3930K combo. Since I can pretty much use all 6 cores it's probably the setup I should have chosen from the start if I'm honest, but I would have bought the M5F/E if Asus could actually be bothered to start shipping the things.

Maybe if they weren't so preoccupied making yet more tablets ...

The board has finally released in the US as of today(in stock on newegg), so it's just a matter of how fast European retailers get a hold of it now.

Thanks you for your web note. We have no confirmed dates at the moment, we are just awaiting for Asus currently

I hear European retailers ETA for formula is late july.

Edit: seeing that some people are waiting for this mobo since may I think the lesson here is to just buy whatever is in stock unless one posses patience of gods.
