This is a really good thing for me. I never listen to radio one in the morning and I hate Nick Grimshaw. Win win for me! Now I'd they could just sack Matt Edmondson as well I'd be well happy. The guy is a unfunny idiot.

He and Fearne Cotton were responsible for me permanently detuning from radio 1 a few years ago. Fat whinging overpaid pile of lard.

Moyles is to play Herod in a UK tour of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Jesus Christ Superstar starting in September, which will mark the end of his time at Radio 1.

Really enjoyed listening to Chris on my 30 minute drive to work in the morning, despite all his past criticism, he funny and interesting. Can't really say I'll be saying the same thing for Grimshaw though, heard his late night shows once or twice and found him trying the whole 'kooky' thing way too much, he just doesn't do it for me.

So long as bleedin' Fearne Cotton doesn't get involved I'm happier.

Radio 1 used to be awesome in my day. Remember working in the Kitchens and you'd have Zoe Ball's breakfast show followed my Simon Mayo and the awesome 'Mystery Years', then you'd get Joe Whiley, Mark & Lard (who I hated but everyone else liked) and the Moyles for the drive home.

Work in an office now so don't listen to much Radio but last checked out Radio 1 and apart from Fern Cotten & Moyles hadn't heard of any of the daytime line-up....guess I'm just getting old
