video of ferguson (pretty sure i saw him in a dhl ad the other day) saying it's possible he could bring in 1 more, maybe 2 more players. kagawa to play behind the striker, powell played as a forward, united see him as more a cm.

imo the cm is uniteds weak link, surely this is a big ask of an 18 yr old and they will look to sign someone more proven and experienced?

Yep, that's what everyone is hoping for. We need a recognised quality CM who can play now.

Hopefully Powell will turn into the English version of Schweinsteiger.

That's what I hope, anyway. :D

We can always hope :D

Remember though Kagawa is also slightly more mature a player than Utd have bought recently (excl Berba obviously)

Because of that imo he is less likely to be shuffled about (although of course Rooney played a lot on the wing when he first arrived albeit he was younger than Kagawa is now, and even now plays in AM positions for a lot of last season)

I still hope Kagawa starts and finishes his Utd career in a central AM / 2nd striker position

Levy could get blood from a stone.

he sure could.

borini to be announced by liverpool tomorrow too (apparently) carroll will be loaned out or sold surely?

the telegraph is usually pretty accurate, though they're saying oscar to chelsea is pretty much done and spurs are favourites to land moutinho.

£70k a week Rodallega is apparently going to be getting at Fulham! If that's true then no wonder it didn't go any where with us!

That'll be a longer term deal then, IE clubs wanting to buy him a year or 6 months ago, runs out contract and gets a higher wage rather than leave while still under contract and cost a few million.

No way in hell Rodallega would get that kind of money otherwise, if he had scored 20 in a season, maybe, with his scoring record, best season 3 years ago 10 goals in a full 38 games and 142 shots. Also seems he was fairly happy to screw his club over, wait a year barely playing(probably the reason he wasn't played much, club unhappy with him), to get a huge wage.

At 26, I'd say there isn't much potential anymore, 70k a week, lol, he's worth a punt at 30k a week just incase at a better club he could become a 15 goal a season player.

I see him as a Chamakh type, screwed over club, got a huge wage, won't be great, won't be worth the wage, and won't be able to get shot of him due to the wage either.

Ibra and T.Silva to PSG is apparently a done deal.
52m is a pretty good deal tbh when you compare it to other recent transfers.

Any of Tevez/Kolarov/Dzeko to AC now apparently.

I was lead to believe that Nick Powell was an attacking midfielder, playing just behind the strikers. I just hope that you don't play him too deep in midfield.

On Saints related news Buttner has still not signed! Hopefully he'll sign before pre season and get upto speed a little before the Prem season starts.

From what I have read, Powell was played as an attacking midfielder off the striker because that's where Crewe could use him best, the chairman of Crewe, SAF and the player himself have said that CM is where he is most suited and would like to play though.
