*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Who knows, maybe we'll be awaken in the morning by couriers delivering the Play Stores orders. Maybe Google are having a laugh saying

"they all think they've got to wait for another week or so yet. tee hee"

I'll wake up in a minuted and realised it's just a dream :D

I'm a student.. and I do want one of these... Temptation. :( Won't ever get it for a better deal than £169.99 I can't imagine. Have to see what the moth says tomorrow. :p

Oh appears the student thing is debunked. Stingy HMV :(

FWIW I got a despatch email this evening from a company based in the north, but when I visit my account there's no sign of progress. I think it may be a pre-order glitch.

The important bit there is "Parcels collected". :-) I suspect it means stock has arrived (which is why payment was taken) and this "It's coming!" email is just another way of locking people in. I must admit I was half conteplating cancelling after learning that you can't just plug an external card reader in.

PS In my experience the order tracking is pretty accurate. By this time on same day delivery the order would definitely show if it'd been picked up, and it hasn't.

I know it's been said many times by others, but I feel pretty miffed that I pre-ordered a fortnight ago and probably have another 10 days to wait, while some ordered this afternoon and will get their order in the morning!

/rant

I won't mention it, but you also paid extra for shipping! :p:D

And mine is on its merry way to me!

Sooo, wondering if I can purchase the official nexus 7 case with my £15 credit?

If not, what are you guys and gals planning to spend it on?

Ok, I take it all back. Mine's apparently in Charlton ready to go on a van. I won't get it today because RM never actually deliver to me, they just say they did and leave it at the PO up the road.

But this all seems a bit strange to me. Maybe it's rubbish really and everyone's trying to get rid of them before we wise up. ;-)

PS Reading the US commentary it does look like "staged shipping" might be playing into the hands of those who ordered from non-Google sources (ie those probably handling significantly fewer orders & potentially courier issues). I didn't order until less than a week ago, but I chose to go with a retailer whose delivery process I know about because I work nights.

Not happy bunny ...
Ordered with Google and not be one of the first ones that will get it? And other retailers sent their first...balls....
